I'm not a big fan of oreos, but putting them with PB sounds delicious!
My husband says bacon and syrup and I say Oreos and peanut butter. Which I tried for the first time after watching The Parent Trap with Lindsey Lohan.
I don't really like oreos unless they're double stuffed and completely soggy with milk, but as for the bacon/syrup thing... I'm not a fan. Actually I'd go so far as to say I'm weird about foods touching foods that don't belong together, so if syrup touches my bacon, I won't eat the part that has syrup on it.... :(
Best freshman-year-in-college-discovery EVER was having Dairy Queen put a spoonful of peanut butter in my oreo blizzard. YUM! OMG, commence mouth-watering sequence now.
ETA: I'm not a huge fan of chocolate (GASP!) - so I'm the person that twists the oreo apart, eats the frosting out of the middle, and then throws away the cookies. Or just eats it with only 1 cookie-side intact. BUT, oreo-flavored desserts are magical.

Oreos should not be ruined by PB but I fully agree that syrup doesn't go on my bacon (just my pancakes and waffles).
I've never tried oreos & PB. However, fried oreos are the yummiest thing EVER.
And I must agree w/ your DH, I only eat bacon w/ pancakes & it must be drenched in syrup :)

And I ALWAYS dip my bacon in syrup.

Bacon + syrup is okay, not a HUGE fan of it, but its pretty good. My fav was the maple syrup glazed bacon at Founding Fathers in Washington DC.
Both sound delightful to me!!!! Bacon goes good with everything. Not to mention:

Oreos and PB I have never tried. I dont really like PB unless its cooked, or warm, like on toast, so I'm going with Nah on that.

Syrup belongs only on pancakes. If it touches my bacon it is RUINED. Bacon is supposed to be meaty and salty, not sweet.
I'm not a big fan of peanut butter but I love Oreos. It might be a good combination if I liked peanut butter, but I don't.

Bacon and oreos also sound good to me though so maybe my opinion isn't valid...
(Bacon and syrup is acceptable but I prefer my bacon + sweetness to involve chocolate. Nutella bacon cupcakes are one of my best inventions.)
Well. I hate oreos and I hate peanut butter. So that together would probably make me vomit.
I dont mind bacon and syrup together, but there has to be something else with it. Eggs, ommelet, pancakes, french toast, ect. I wouldnt just get some syrup and pour it over my bacon.

I think that was the recipe I used for the cupcakes. At the end I tried them and felt like they needed something, and suddenly decided it was bacon. I fully cooked some bacon in the oven and I broke it into largeish pieces and pushed them into the tops of the cupcakes like a meaty salty garnish. :D It was PERFECT. There may be a better way to go about that than how I did it but it turned out excellent.
They both sound pretty legit. If you said I could only have one, it would be Oreos and peanut butter, though, because chocolate and peanut butter together is a beautiful thing.

DH and I have once again engaged in The Great Debate over two food combinations:
Oreos and PB
Bacon and Syrup
Clearly, Oreos and peanut butter are DELICIOUS together, and I believe I am correct in feeling that bacon and syrup should remain unmarried with one another.
DH thinks oreos and pb is gross and gleefully dips bacon in syrup, which I find to be criminal.
Now, what say you!!
