I want to watch sex and the city 2, but my friend told me that if you like the characters, don't watch the second movie.  She said she does and she can no longer enjoy watching the old episodes and regrets it.  What do you think?

It didn't ruin the series for me, but it was seriously painful.  I wish I hadn't watched it.

It is two hours of your life you won't ever get back.

I honestly don't remember anything about SATC2 except the big wedding scene in the beginning with Liza Minnelli...but then I can't even remember if that was the first movie or the second movie. So I guess it didn't really affect my view of the show at all, haha.

I don't think it'll ruin it for you at all, but it wasn't a good movie.

It was really bad. There were sooo many cringe-worthy moments and I wouldn't  watch it again. However, I love the series and don't regret watching it since I just couldn't not watch it when it came out. I was too curious and needed my SATC fix. I say watch it, just have ridiculously low expectations and a cosmo or three in hand (it's 2 1/2 hours long!)

It was absolutely horrible, and kind of made me wish they had just left it alone after the first movie which wasn't bad at all.

The minute I realized that practically none of the movie was going to take place in NYC, I knew I was going to hate it anyway. Other than Samantha, the other characters were like completely different people.

If I'm ever bored to absolute death, I may watch it again. It didn't ruin anything for me; it was just awful and a money grab.

I say watch it. It's pretty bad, but it didn't ruin it for me. I didn't actually mind parts of it. I thought there were still some good moments in the movies. I like the first half better than the second

It was seriously one of the worst movies of all time, but having said that, I can't remember a thing that happened.  So I'm sure that if I popped Season 2 (or whatever) into the ol' DVD player right now, it wouldn't affect me at all that I've seen the movie. :)

**sidenote: my memory SUCKS, so that could be part of it.

I never watched the series, but borrowed the first and second movie from the library, the first one I actually really enjoyed! The second one was horrible and like I said I never even watched the series. So as far as ruining anything im not sure but just know the second movie sucked.

The movie is horrible but if you're curious its worth watching. I don't think it ruins anything else. I still like the show and the first movie as much as I ever did.

I really, really regret watching it, and I loved the original series and liked the first movie a lot. Give it a miss. Read this instead:

While it didn't ruin the series for me the characters acted well completely out of character. It was an odd movie, and I left disappointed.

I watched it, but then again I wasn't a huge SATC fan to begin with.  It wasn't the best movie either, but it was okay just to watch something.  I wouldn't pay for it.
