    So my boyfriend and I have gone to a local sex shop a few times here in our city. We've found some really fun things and a certain something to really increase the ..... AHEM feelings down there.  Do any other bees have experience going to sex shops with their SO?

    I've only ever done the online shopping part just because there aren't any sex-toy shops here. Definitely have found a few things to spice up the bedroom. I wish we used them more though. lol.

    @Prettyinpink89:

    Really?! I would think that would actually be a fun retail job! I mean, generally sex is a happy thing and I'm guessing customers for the most part weren't too grumpy or rude.

    @Tunacupcakes: It's a pretty fun job :). Most customers are pretty awesome. A few people (mostly men) will come in looking very embarrassed which in turn makes them very rude. Booo!

    Yep and it was really fun! We had fun looking around. Especially at the costume section because some of them were really weird. For example, sexy ladybird! Haha

    Hahaha yes we frequent sex shops... They're fun!! :D It's deff much cheaper to buy online though so we usually go to browse and then make our purchases from the computer!

    @LadyPink:

    It can be uncomfortable at first, but I find the more you go the less embarrassing it is. Besides, if you stop.... look around.... you'll see that everyone there is different and everyone there has sex! OMG! lol Last night when my guy and I went a group of 4 ladies in their 30s-40s were shopping. They were giggling at the extra extra large items and one mentioned about how awful it would be to have one of her kids find her "toys"! The other women laughed and surmised about what would happen if their kids found the "toys". My guy piped up with "Oh then your son would grab it and strt beating his sister with it!" All the women laughed at the horrible thought and moved on while discussig getting safes for their items. Lots of fun!

    @Prettyinpink89: You officially have THE coolest job of anyone I know. (As much as one can know someone over the internet)

    We've been, but sadly not in a while. Work, life, kids, yada yada. "Umm, hey, Mom, think you can watch the kids for an hour so we can go to Lucy's Love Shop?" No, don't think I'll be having that convo.

    As a side note, my SN was actually born of a nickname my SO gave to me after I wore a costume just for him. I'll give y'all three guesses as to what I wore.......

    Will you judge me if I tell you that my (crazy) ex worked at a sex shop?

    That relationship was so dysfunctional, but the toys were fun.

    When I was in college, there was a mega-shop in that city.  They had a coffee bar inside and sometimes would have cage dancers in the windows.  It was awesome and my friends and I went quite a bit.

    FI and I have gone a few times together, but I am much more comfortable than he is with it.  The last time we went, we bought a new toy (the first that we had bought together) and a day later, his dog ATE it.  Hahah eww.

    Also, whenever I have gone in solo, I am always asked if I am a stripper.  In a hoodie and jeans?  Why would you make that assumption??  It embarrasses me so much.

    @Tunacupcakes: My ex found his mom's toy in her closet when he was like 10. He asked his mom what it was and she just started cracking up and said "I'll tell you when you're older". Well she never had to because 6 years later he figured out what it was he had found in the closet. I think he is still scarred from that, but man it cracks me up every time I think about it.

     Perhaps that bribe would work if you promise to bring your mom something back?

    @TinyTina:

    *palm to face* LMAO! your poor ex!! That sudden realization!! I can sort of imagine a guy going "Wait a minute... when I was 10 I found that long rubber thing that belonged to mom. She wouldn't tell me what it was because...... OMG!!!!    Too funny. I myself discovered my mom's sex manual book when I was 8. Really mom? Sock/underwear drawer?

    We're both totally into "spice," so to speak!  But FI is HILARIOUS b/c the one and only time I took him in there, he blushed like crazy and tried to get out of there asap.  I hadn't seen him blush before, and I've not seen him blush since.  It took me by surprise because he's far from shy or inhibited when it comes time for "business."

    It was kind of cute, actually

    I do the shopping for us now, and if we go too long without a new toy or outfit, he sends me shopping with his credit card. :)

    We usually shop online together for fun things. It cuts back on the embarrassment and you get reviews on great stuff before you buy them.
