Our photographers were so fun and amazing!  I can’t recommend them highly enough.  Check out their blog.  Tell them Marika and Eric recommended you.

Our photographer was fantastic, we got over 2000 digital photos of the day and they were a great mix of candid and formal shots! http://www.mattkim.com

Our photograhper is crazy-affordable for the quality of his work.  Our package was half the cost of what others were charging and we LOVE our photos.  Lighting & color was perfect and he definitey captured the moment.  He’s very unassuming but you can totally tell that he loves his job — I highly recommend him.    He lives in Sacramento but also travels (I don’t think he charges travel for anything under 2 hours drive).  Tell him L & D referred you (email if you have any questions).  His website:  http://www.huyphan.com

You can check out my posts with my photos as well — they were all taken by Garrett Burdick and Matt Reoch of GB Photographers.

Our photographer was AMAZING!!  He and his wife are a team, and they are based in Dublin.  He is Joel Flory (wife is Cara) and his website is:  http://www.joelflory.com .  You can also check out a slideshow of some of our pics (we got married at Garre Winery in Livermore) at http://clients.joelflory.com/nigelandjackie .

Another photographer I admire is Cameron Ingalls, from SLO.  His website is: http://www.cameroningalls.com .

Hi lmyoung30,  I think it depends on how many hours, albums etc.  Try calling Sarah Hendrichs, she’s pretty flexible and will help you work with you on your budget.

lmyoung30’s comment is perfect for me too.  Haven’t been able to find too many photographers in that price range.  Do the previous posters have pricing info for their recommendations?

  • Wedding: July 2007 - Rosary Chapel & Monterey Marriott, Monterey, CA

My wonderful photographer, Fiona Sarn (http://www.fionasarn.com), was only $2500… which included an engagement session (she traveled to LA for it), unlimited time schedule for the wedding day and full DVD copies of all photos. I’m not sure what her 2008 rates will be, but she originally emailed me prices ranging from $1700-3500. 🙂

She’s out of Walnut Creek and is oh so wonderful to work with!

Not sure what Joel Flory’s prices are now, but he will send you his rates by e-mail if you send him a message.  He was affordable when I had him do ours a year ago, far lower than others of his caliber.  His e-mail is [email protected]. From what I have heard, he books up fast, so it won’t hurt to ask him!  And trust me, he is worth EVERY penny!

I only want to spend around $1500 for my wedding photos. Where can I get a good deal and quality in terms of coverage and prints for that budget?
