I went to a wedding at the Oakland one last year and I was surprised by how good the buffet food was - I even went back for seconds! I took a tour of the San Ramon one and everyone seemed really sweet; my only gripe might be that it's adjacent to a public golf course, meaning that you could have your ceremony outside and there could very well be a whole bunch of golfers are playing behind you!
I was considering Wedgewood in Burlingame myself when looking at venues but I'd heard that a lot of golf clubs don't really let you get married on the green b/c of the golfers. Seems like it would be a liability issue for them. I dunno the specific policy there but for the same reasons funniegirl mentioned I passed up on it.
Just so you know, if you haven't actually been to the location in Burlingame, it's RIGHT next to highway 280. As in, every day driving home from work, I can see the little white gazebo from the freeway. It is a pretty ceremony location, overlooking the reservoir, but I'm sure you can hear the loud sound of cars on the highway from there. Just wanted to let you know if you've only seen the pictures online and something like that might bother you!
my friend had her wedding at the burlingame location and you can't hear the cars or see the golfers! It's a lovely view plus we're also having our ceremony there =) Can't vouch for the catering there though.
The Burlingame location is beautiful, but when we visited my fiance and mother both pointed out that you can actually hear the cars (I didn't even notice at first)! But it's probably possible to drown it out with ceremony music and mics.
wedgewood's concept is great, and of all wedgewoods that i checked out in the bay area, burlingam's ceremony view is hands down the best by far.
i'm not impressed with the facility of wedgewood in general, looks a bit on the lower end tho i must say that i do looooove the all inclusive package it offers. if you are looking for something more grand, don't go to wedgewood.
I love WW because of the all inclusive packages, the options to add or delete pieces of the packages, and the fact that you can totally dress up the banquet room to fit your needs. You can make it anything you want with your own linens, lighting, candles, more flowers, shepards hooks on the aisle, etc. Plus, if you opt for the wedding coordinator or get the Emerald or above, that person sets up everything for you (e.g., menus, programs, candles, etc.). The locations may be off highways but think of the ease for your guests who are traveling to your venue. And your ceremony is only 20 min. long so the noise factor will not be bothersome once you are inside. I have only seen the Burlingame location online but it was a contender for my wedding. They just didn't have the dates we needed.
I just got married at the Ventura Wedgewood location. I love how the packages worked, and they were really great about adjusting them to suit exactly what we wanted.

Hi hive, has anyone used any of the Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Centers? My fiance and I took a tour of the Oakland Wedgewood today, we liked it and it's one of our final contenders but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with any of the Wedgewood Centers? From photos the Burlingame location looks fantastic!
