@AllyCRN:  I cannot specifically comment on Shane, as I have never heard of this company. That being said, to my knowledge many places offer that kind of diamond replacement for a certain amount of time (or no time limit). I did a quick Google search and they seem to have decent ratings, according to Yelp. The important thing is that you both trust this jewellery store. There was a setting that both me and my FI loved but he ended up not going to that jewellery store (little mom and pop shop) because he didn’t trust that they would give him what he thought he was paying for (either from incompetence or because they were not actually honest – we both have the feeling it is because they didn’t have enough knowledge and were being duped by sellers). Anyways, I think that they look legit – just read through the reviews.

Oh, and congrats on finding a setting you both love! So exciting when that happens!

I have 2 bands from Shane that I wear when traveling and that I initially wore when I was first engaged. Shane had to resize the 1st and it was quick and easy (not same day, but pretty close). They are also great about replating the rings every 6 months as well as cleaning both my Shane and non-Shane rings every time I stop in.

My engagement ring setting is from another jewler in Denver that carries only designer pieces (i.e. Tacor, Hearts on Fire, etc.), but in my opinion, the service at Shane is much better and the staff is much friendlier.

My fiance and I love Shane Co. He got my e-ring from there and was amazed at how much they educate you and they dont force you to buy anything! They also stay within your budget and their warranty in great! I go in every couple of weeks to get my ring cleaned and the staff (Woodbury, MN) are wonderful! We plan on getting our wedding bands there also!

Sorry these pictures are huge! I used my sgs4 instead of my laptop!

I couldnt be happier with Shane Co! They live up to their warranty! My original engagement ring lost a stone and they replaced it free! I began having problems with that ring with diamonds and they would fix it everytime! When we decided to upgrade and trade in my original for my new set the process was great! Most other jewelers require you to spend the price of the orignal for the upgrade not Shane Co you only have to spend $1 more! I go into my local (Kennesaw, Ga) store every two weeks to get my set cleaned and they are always so friendly! First pic is my upgrade and second is orginal!

All of the major mall jewelers have this kind of warranty. You have to bring your jewelry in every six months to be inspected. If you go over 6 months and something happens, it is not covered by the warranty.

@GoldfishPie:  When we were looking we went to all the major jewelers (kays, zales, jared, helzburg) and there warranties dont compare to Shane co’s! Most of the the other stores you have to pay additionally for the warranty that  for some only covers the metal and side diamons but not the center.  Also the upgrade policy for us was a big deal.  We knew when we got engaged that we would upgrade within a few years when my husband got a promotion.

@Tori5810:  Kay’s covers all the diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and rubies in all its rings for free. The extended survice plan covers all the metal and work that would go into replacing the stones if they were to fall out.

The most important thing for any of these warranties, and something I see people get screwed by literally every time I work, is KEEP UP WITH THE INSPECTIONS! It’s a pretty cool deal, you literally get a FREE diamond if one falls out. All you have to do is come twice a year and spend 5 mins having it inspected (bring your paperwork too! It makes it 10000x easier!) but people will come in the store in a huff, demanding that we replace their diamond, and its been three years since they stepped foot into the store. Really???

You will love your Shane Co ring and their customer service is great! I know the Shane family personally and they put customer satisfaction first ALWAYS.  You DO have to keep up with the warranty schedule but at least that way it stays clean and well maintained. Their sales associates also don’t work on commision which is nice.

I’ve never purchased anything there, but my best friend’s husband bought her ring set there, his ring, and all other jewelry he has ever given her. They both have nothing but wonderful things to say about the company and service they have received.

My ring isn’t from there (they simply don’t carry the type of ring I wanted), but I did try on some styles there and had a wonderful experience with the staff.

Some are saying you have to go in every 6 months.. We went to our local Shane Co last weekend and he said they don’t require those inspections. Just come whenever you want or need to!
