It’s been a while since I checked in with our incredible shrinking bees here in the hive!
How are you doing with your shape-up plan?
I’m down 28lbs since the beginning of May, I’m excited! Tomorrow I’ll have my body fat %age checked as well (I do it every 2 mos). Last time I was down 1.4%, I’m hoping I can make it to 3% total down — we’ll see!
How are you doing in your efforts? Anyone reach their goal yet?
Anyone got before/after photos to share?

How are you getting your BM checked?

I’ve been working out and using Wii Fit to track, but I’m almost the same as I was when I started. The original scale I use says I’ve lost a few pounds, so maybe I have. I’m getting stressed out at work as well as with wedding stuff, and I’m an emotional/stress eater. I’m trying to drink a lot of water instead of snacking.
That’s awesome that you’re down 28 pounds! Way to go!

I’m hanging in there. I need to start walking more though. I just started taking a ballet/exercise class so I’m off to there tonight!

At my gym they have this….steering wheel kind of thingy…lol….hold it with both hands for a few seconds and, viola, it tells you your bf %
It’s hard to get motivated, but so worth it! And I’m an emotional eater too so I feel your pain, I had a crazy day today and it’s been all I could do to not eat eat eat.
Hang in there ladies!
How’s everyone else doing? I know we had lots of buzz in the hive about shaping up, and I’m really curious to hear how things are coming along

I was doing really well – lost about 6/7lbs, was working out twice a day, loving it…kicking ass and taking names…then I got pneumonia. I’m getting back slowly and not torturing myself too much about it.

I’ve lost over 40 lbs since last February, but that was long before I got engaged. I’m still planning to lose about 20 lbs to get to my ultimate goal weight, but whether I do that before or after the wedding is irrelevant. My dress is ordered, I feel more comfortable in my skin than ever before, and I’m going to look great whether or not I lose another pound between now and March.
By the way, I’ve had great success with the Volumetrics eating plan. It’s a book, and it’s a lifestyle change, not simply a diet.
Good luck to everyone!

I am on week 2 of the “Couch to 5K” plan that I read about on this board. I’m hanging in there but haven’t lost any weight yet but the fiance SWEARS he can see a positive change in my backside.. 😉
So I’m keeping it up! But I still hate to jog. I must say it’s getting a little bit easier.

I’ve been lazy and eating very poorily since the wedding. But I’m ready to get into shape. I cut out pop and I’m trying to not salt my food (very hard for this salt addict) and to get out and get walking. Small changes but it’s a start.

I’ve been doing well!!! I had a 6 month follow up with my allergist yesterday, and I was exactly TWENTY pounds lighter than I was six months before!! Awesome!!! (Naked on the scale at home I’m 24 pounds lighter, but ya know!). I am starting to get the comments from people at work about looking thinner, which is motivating, so I’m excited! I’m really just trying to keep a handle on my emotional overeating and pay attention to portion sizes. Plus I have finally reached the point where I look forward to working out because I feel great mentally and physically afterwards.
