Thanks to everyone who jumped in with me on the thread I started last week:

More are always welcome!  When it comes to shapeup support, the more the merrier for sure

So, how was everyone's weekend?!   Mine was pretty good.  Fitness highlights:

-Took my first ever water aerobics class Saturday morning (followed by a session with my trainer).  In a word? OW!  lol   I definitely feel it.  Water aerobics is definitely a heck of a good workout!  I'll be taking it weekly, it was a lot of fun.

-Bought a frozen yogurt maker!  If you love frozen yogurt and dont' have one I really, really recommend.   I got the 1.5 qt. model from Cuisinart.  I made strawberry banana, and also baked cinnamon apple.  YUM.  And they are fat free and (almost) sugar free and easier on the pocketbook, too.  I think my machine will pay for itself in a month.

-Cheated:  had some brown rice on Saturday afternoon because I was craving sushi so badly someone was gonna get hurt if I didn't get any!  ;)   (I normally have no carbs after lunchtime).  Technically the fro yo is also a cheat b/c of the sugar in the fruit, but I don't count fruit (after all who gets fat eating fruit?!)

Today I was down a half a pound from last week.   I was hoping for a bigger loss but I'll take what I can get  Shape Up: Week of 6/1 : wedding Icon Biggrin

How did the weekend go for all of you?

I want to take water aerobics!

I finally broke down and bought a scale to monitor the 12 lbs I'm trying to lose.  I obsess when I weigh myself but it's the only way I can keep it in check.

Back to eating my House Foods Shirataki and my hemp protein shakes...

Tweaked my back this AM reaching for my mascara, so it's a gym-free kind of week. That's okay, I could probably use some down time. Stupid mascara.

haha just remember you will never see a fat person who only eats fruit and vegis...so if you happen to splurge on fruit big whoop!  dont kill yourself over it! Congrats on the good accomplishments though!

I had a negative and a positive within an hour of each other .... I ate 1/2 of a bag of goldfish (my weakness!) .... but instead of just calling it a day and finishing the other half -- I went out for a 40 minute run/jog/walk. and I'm feeling good right now. Just gotta keep going!

Well, the only day I was really bad was Friday - FI and I were too tired to cook so we ended up ordering a pizza...BAD idea, I must say in retrospect.

Other than that I've been pretty good, and keeping track of my calorie intake at The Daily Plate (it's great BTW - especially to find out if you're eating as good as you think you are!).

My biggest obstacle - and always has been - is the whole exercising thing. I just don't like it, despite all my knowledge about how good it is for you. If there's one area in my life where I just can't seem to get motivated and just do it as they say, it's exercising. Eliminate sweets - no problem! No more pasta/pizza/etc - done! But exercising? You've got to be kidding.

The thing is, I don't eat junk food...no hamburgers or french fries, no fried foods, no cookies/cakes/chocolate bars here. I know, many of you are going "WHAT???" but it's true. I can pass up these things with no problem whatsoever. I'd rather have a salad than a hamburger anyway, so it's what I do naturally.

Another part of the problem is I have no income right now, so it's difficult to hire a nutritionist/trainer or join any type of group. Oh well, hopefully soon!

Sorry for the rambling...glad to hear others are doing well!
