I have a pear too (not sure why pic is sideways lol) and originally had a shaped band handmade to fit around it.  When I got it though, I hated it and ended up getting it melted back down into a plain band.

I’ve seen shaped bands I love in other people but it just didn’t work with my ring for some reason. The plain band works best for me as it really makes the pear stand out

RhianfaHW:  I have a pear shape diamond, as well. I got a wedding band that wraps the top and bottom of the e-ring. I LOVE IT. Although, I will be getting the e-ring brought up a bit after the wedding. It sits a bit low for my liking. I did try on some bands sismilar to the one you posted but they didn’t fit as nicely with the e-ring as i thought. Here is my set:

I love the wedding band you posted. I think it will look great with gold and rubies.

Another idea is a wedding band that will frame around the pear. I love this set from esty – so unique!

Don’t know if you’re still looking or not, but I have an oval and had a similar “what about the band?!” situation.

We decided to go with a diamond crossover band. The oval sits down into the V made by the crossover and I can wear it without my e-ring and it won’t look odd. Cannot wait to wear my set!!

Love yellow gold and pear diamonds!

I don’t like the bent looking rings really it won’t look as good if you choose to wear it alone in my opinion. Except I do quite like the chevron shaped ones move v shape like this because they look quite nice alone or with another ring.

But below is the wedding ring I chose(not mine yet) with my pear engagement ring I really love the only metal wedding rings its just what I always thought of as a wedding ring I’m not so much a fan of most or the pave ones a lot of people have now.

    futuremrscopeland:  Thanks!

When I was trying it on as a set at the jeweler, the consultant had me go outside to take a look in natural lighting. On my way back to the counter, another customer stopped me and said, “I just have to ask… What do your husband do?!” 🙂

Needless to say, we were sold. I REALLY didn’t want a curved band (unless I had two), and the sidestones dictated that we’d have to have them custom made. The crossover is gorgeous in person (and we went with a little higher total carat weight) — and I’m really looking forward to having it and being able to wear it solo as well!

RhianfaHW:  Our rings are very similar! I went with a dainty straight across ring wrap. The curved ones didn’t sit right with my ring.
