I’ve gained about 8 lbs since purchasing my dress last October. The last time I tried on my dress it was really tight, but did zip, but that was about 3 lbs ago. I’m terrified it wont fit when I go in for my alterations tomorrow. I’m a month out from my wedding, so I’m starting to stress out majorly. I was wondering if I bought shapewear if it would help? I’m going to the gym and counting calories, but as far as a quick fix for the alterations would something like shapewear work? Any suggestions on brands?

I don’t think 3 lbs will prevent you from getting into a dress! I would suggest just not eating a big meal right before the fitting (i.e. have lunch after the fitting, rather than before. Not “become anorexic” lol)
I’m not even sure shapewear would help a dress zip up in theory. You’re adding more fabric/mass to total amount of “body” that needs to go in. You’re only squeezing the existing body with shapewear, which a well constructed dress would probably do on its own as you zip it.

Do a cleanse tonight with magnesium citrate. And then work on eating well and exercising over the next month to try to maintain your weight for the dress. Shapewear can help trim up to an inch but it’s tough to rely on because if you gain too much more it may not be enough to get you into your dress.
