I got the rage waist cincher which I hope to use ( no built in corset or bra). It gives a nice shape without feeling constrained, which I couldn’t stand with a real corset.

But if you want a booty lift/shape you might want to use the long version.

Whoa, I didn’t even consider this! I’ll have to look into it. 🙂 Thanks for bringing it up!

whatsherface04:  omg, I just realizd I put it on the other way lol. So no. But I’m wearing a monique l top that has lace on it, it’s not flat. You might want to try the longline first to be safe!

whatsherface04:  My measurements are (about) 37 waist and 42 hips and a size 10, and I ordered a 3x.  I emailed the customer service (herroom.com) for help picking my size.  She was a little snooty and suggested I get the 4x. The pieces, despite being shapewear, designed to create a better shape, have very proportional measurements (10 inches difference between waist and hip for every size, grrr).  I ended up picking something that was somewhere in between my measurements, though I did favor the waist measurement more.  I figured it would be less comfortable for it to be too tight in the waist than too tight in the hips.  I was right, the 3x is comfortable, if a smidge tight on the waist.

My dress is being custom made to accommodate the waist cincher I’m planning on wearing underneath so I don’t have to worry about the hooks or boning or such showing through: http://corseterie.co.nz/new-super-satin-cincher. I’m planning on wearing it multiple times before to break it in/make sure I know how to move it in though. That being said, if I can survive a rave in a corset, I can get through the wedding in this lol.

I have bought shape wear panties that come up to the waist, but now I’m concerned about my ‘sticky outy’ hips (plus size). Am considering the longline leg ones, but I would think they would be very uncomfortable and hard to pee in, but you won’t get leg chafing haha

Anyone have the long-line that could give advice?  I’m about 36, 27, 39.  I really want it to smooth my hips out (I have that area that sticks out on the sides of my thigh) but the garment says to order by waist size and order up if your hips are larger.  Would getting into the smaller garment be a total no go? I assume it’s tight enough that even if I ordered the larger garment the waist would do SOMETHING.
