@iloverocks:  Well I can’t tell you the best shapewear but I can tell you the worst … unless you are skinny, spanx does nothing. I wish I never used them under my dress, what a waste of $70.

Rago. Was recommended multiple times on the Bee and I love it! Great tummy/hip control!

@misschickpea:  +1

Rago is good if you’re all right with a little boning.  I bought mine off Amazon, but there are other websites that sell the brand.

I’ve only tried the “booty boosting leggings” from Sassybax, but I really like them!  They shape me better than the Spanx I have, so I imagine their actual bottom shaper would be great. http://www.sassybax.com

Bumping this in case anyone has any other ideas as I’m looking for the best shapewear for the most slimming effect. Life happened unfortunately (Thank you, work busy season from hell!), and I doubt I’ll be able to make my weight loss goal… so time to research slimming shapewear.

@mylittleviolett:  Thanks for the heads up re: Spanx. I saw on Zappos that they got less than stellar reviews. If I’m going to spend $70 on a pair of panties, they better be 5 star dammit. 🙂

I used Spanx under my dress and loved it.  However, I had a very firm leg control with a very little tummy control.  The big part for me was the legs and my $70 Spanx rocked for that.  I tried a few other brands and nothing else worked.

 Don’t really have any experience with any. I tried on a Spanx swimsuit and swore off the brand forever. Haha. I’ve heard wonderful things about Rago.

I don’t really need shape wear for my dress (wooo ballgown!), but I do need a corset. I have no idea wear to look for that…

@MrsNewDay:  Hell yeah. I wish I heard about Rago before I bought that waste of money.
