I was a little self conscious while dress shopping and wish that I owned my spanx then! I would've worn them for sure!
Additionally I only ever wear thongs (I hate full underwear and think it is ridiculously uncomfortable) and so every lady who helped me into dresses saw my a** LOL.
Wear whatever you think you will be the most comfortable in and who knows if you wear the spanx maybe they will give you confidence to try on something you normally wouldn't (like a sheath dress).
Also remember to wear clothes and shoes that are easy to get in and out of!
And most importantly HAVE FUN!
Wear the shapewear- it will give you a better idea of what is possible for the dress. I find I am waited on a little better too if I am wearing a one piece slimmer... impresses the salesladies:-)
If you plan to wear it on wedding day, then why not wear it when trying on the gowns you might choose?
I wore spanx and a strapless bra...my consultant said she wished everybody would come so prepared...If you are planning on wearing it the day of, wear it to try dresses on!

When you went dress shopping did you wear shapewear (or are you planning to)?
I've heard to wear modest underwear when dress shopping, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention shapewear. I already own spanx and I'm wondering if I should wear it when I go shopping or not. I'm not full-figured, but have some tummy bulge I'm self conscious about. I'm worried that if I don't wear any spanx I'll be stressing about my mid-section all day.
Since I haven't been yet, I don't know what to expect. What do you think, bees?
