@badabing88:  I recently discovered this Etsy thing that everyone has been talking about for 10 years. They have a lot of nice sets on there and many of them are under $200. I don’t have a dress finalized yet so I have to wait for that. I’m sure I will end up on Etsy though unless MrPanda99 is feeling especially generous (fingers crossed :P).

@badabing88:  I bought my tiara online through a discount retailer that ended up costing me $43 with shipping and tax.  Other retailers were quoting $45 without shipping or tax.  While I love it, I would never use that retailer again.  It was awful and took forever.  I’ve known friends who have had really good luck at garage/goodwill/vintage shops and others who have had jewelry making parties with their BMs.

I love Chaire’s jewelry!

@badabing88:  I hear ya.  I’ve started looking, and the necklaces I like are $75-$150 and the earrings that have caught my eye are $40-$50.

I really don’t want to spend that much on wedding jewelry, so I’m looking forward to what everyone has to say!

I’m not wearing a lot of jewelry – only earrings and they weren’t cheap :-/, but we found lots of options for my BM and mom at Charming Charlie. I consider it to be like a Claire’s for grown ups. Might be $20 for a necklace instead of like $8, but its definitely more mature looking and better quality than Clarie’s. Its a huge store too and a great place to find cheap, costume stuff.

Its a chain so you probably have one somewhere around your area.

@badabing88:  BORROW!  I am wearing an old pearl bacelet my mom gave me years ago and pearl earrings I borrowed from my FMIL.  I am considering whether I want to wear my old pearl necklace my granny gave me when I was 16; the only problem is that the string popped and the pearls need to be restrung.

My earrings and necklace were both gifts, but I bought myself a bracelet from Charming Charlie. I LOVE it and it only cost $10 🙂

Maybe ask a friend or family member if you can borrow something?

I also like the thrift store idea.
