It seems this summer I have been stuck in a fushia cloud, lol. I would say 80% of my brides lately have been either fushia/black, fushia/orange or fushia/kiwi or apple green. So share your color combo. I am needing to create more samples of monogram tags and the orders I have done or due out are in the above colors. LOL, I want other colors to play with. Last summer it was pool blue. Also noticed that last year ivory was hot, this year it is back to white. I am in the south. So share please!!! Color my world
I'm turquoise and gold for all my paper products and a starfish theme. It looks really nice :)
thanks, keep them coming...really like the idea of the aqua/apple
starfish theme..that is so different. I saw where they had taken grapevine balls and put starfish, moss and stuff in them and hung as part of reception decor. Can't remember if it was online or in mag. I do most of my bridal appointments at Barnes and Nobles over coffee, books and magazines. It helps the bride relax, I get to see personality and we have tons of pictures to look at. So it was probably a magazine I saw that picture in
Hi....our colors are apple red and white with accents of black and silver...for our June 19, 2010 wedding.
Black and white with purple as the accent color (rich royal type of purple, not pastel or anything)
I had a june wedding and my colors were brown, ivory and taupe with pink flowers.
Not the typical summer wedding.... but I loved it!
Our colors were various shades of grey (mismatched/off the rack BM dresses), pistachio green and rose pink. lurrrvvvveed it. :D
I'm a baby blue and chocolate brown bride!
I love love love the colors together, but its hard to find things that are baby blue and brown instead of tiffany blue and brown.
I'm a light blue ("capri") , chocolate, & ivory/cream bride. I just love the colors. They are just beautiful. :D:D:D
Oh, and FI says "Camo baby!" *rolls eyes and smiles*) Boys.
Our colors are Dark Purple and Orange with a little bit of white. We are using orange and dark purple spider mums for our centerpieces.
The only scheme we've been able to agree on so far is blue, green, and yellow. It may change, but who knows.
wow, a rainbow of colors....none of the fushia? LOL. You all have given me some color themes to work with for sure. I just wish I could get the local brides unstuck from the fushia rut. I think part of it is this is a college town with a huge AKA (think that is right) sorority. Our college colors are red/black/white and I actually see more hot pink tshirts with the college logo on it. LOL. Anyway, would love to read more and will start working some of these colors themes into my etsy store so maybe I can "spread the rainbow".
By the way....love the pink and pistachio wraps with the gray dresses. It pulls everything together beautifully.
I am getting married next june and our colors are golds, natural greens, browns, and pops of purples. I knew I didn't want to pick one gold, one green, ect like so many weddings I've been to. Our "theme" is natural/earthy as we are having an outdoor wedding at this pretty lodge in a forest clearing.
I'm not sure what we will choose, but I'm really fond of the Aqua and Poppy color sceme peach/blush and black, and coral & blue :)
I apologize for not crediting those photos, but quite honestly I've developed such a compulsion to save every photo I like for inspiration that I have no idea where they came from!
I'm on the Apple Green bandwagon... paired with Sweet Cream Ivory and Espresso Brown. Uh... yeah, we like food. LOL I am also thinking about throwing in some turquoise. Though what food-description I could give it, I don't know.
love that apricot
amerster26 what about Cotton Candy Blue - I think cotton candy is kind of turquoise or at least your tongue turns that color, lol
Eggplant, burgundy, and rust, with touches of gold/champagne for my October 3 wedding. My dress is ivory!
Dark teal, sea glass green and cream (with the occasional turquoise accent)!
And btw, check out www.colourlovers.com for their AWESOME palette-making tools!
Our colors are navy & green (probably a more yellowish green than kelly). We'll likely do something with stripes or polka dots as an accent.
Girls are in a bluish purplish, mothers in navy, i'm in ivory, and the flowers are a blend of purples, blues, lime green and a tiny bit of orchid magenta accent.
We're doing sapphire blue and a buttery yellow with accents of white and green. :)
Our colors are eggplant, lavender, and lime green (not super bright, think the actual color of the outside of a lime). We'll be incorporating other colors - pale pink, cantaloupe, maybe some others - in the flowers to soften it up.
As far as advice with fuschia, a favorite combo of mine is fuschia and steel grey. There was recently a wedding on Style Me Pretty that make it look so fresh and sophisticated. Maybe encourage some of your brides to trade out orange or kiwi green for grey or silver and use the other bright color as an accent?
We think ours will be midnight blue, blush and peach. :)))
August wedding: Navy blue, kelly green and yellow. We're going for a fresh feeling, not too preppy or nautical (since that wouldn't make sense in double-landlocked NE ^_^).
Burgundy and Peach for ceremony... with some tan for the reception. It was lovely.
Navy and white with flowers in birght pinks and purples. I am wearing ivory.
