Beautiful pick for a dress – love the sheer straps.

This was mine – intimate wedding with 90 people at a museum for the ceremony and restaurant for the reception.

— Huh, how do you access your previous photo posts via phone on the new WB? Hmm… Well I put two recap posts up, so I guess feel free to have a look there!

Strawberryshmoo:  We had 108 people at a country club wedding. The ceremony started at 4pm and reception ended at 10pm. Ceremony was outdoors, reception was indoors. Here is a photo of my dress, although this was taken in my dad’s backyard, not at the wedding location. I do have other pictures in a recap post at the actual venue though 🙂

lorelai:  We are iniviting 120 people but of course 120 will not all show (so guessing between an 80-100 person wedding when all the inivites come back). Ceremony/Reception is at a hotel/casino. The ceremony will be held in a meeting room and the reception will be held across the room in the ballroom. I picked out my dress before my venue changed (originally suppose to get married at a golf and country but we are getting a way better deal with the new location) so not sure if my dress really goes with either venue but I tried it on and loved it so bought it! Here’s my dress. Its from the Julietta by Mori Lee Collection #3133

I’m having a 15 person tiny, tiny wedding at a state supreme court, and I wanted a small dress, but my mother insisted on me getting this enormous tulle ballgown with a chapel train. I love it, to be honest, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to look ridiculous.

Someone tell me it’s ok for me to wear whatever I want on my wedding day, even if it’s totally inappropriate?

My wedding is a destination wedding in the caribbean 🙂 about 40-50 people and probably a second reception in the alps in the heat of the summer. I wanted something light and simple but not TOO simple and not too covered up – straps were a MUST and a pretty back was a bonus!

glasskey:  It’s okay to wear whatever you want for your wedding day even if you look over the top. What other day will you get to wear a dress like that in your entire life? It’s a once in a lifetime (hopefully) experience!

So, my dress is a bit more “over the top” than I had imagined. Before I went shopping, I wanted a fairly simple dress like this:

When I went shopping, I discovered I like big, playful dresses. I fell in love with this one which has a fabulous but frankly enormous ruffled train:

We are having a church ceremony and then a reception in the gardens of a manor house, with dinner in a marquee. I am not convinced my dress “fits” my venue but I love it and my friends/family/the bee persuaded me to get it anyway! We are having 120 people at the sit down meal and another 80 guests arriving in the evening (common for UK weddings) so 200 in total.

I have not picked a dress yet, but I am having a wedding of about 50 people.  My dream dress:

We had a 35 people wedding in Northern Sweden, which meant I had to transport my dress across the North Atlantic Ocean. The ceremony was in my grandmas church, so she didn’t want anything without sleeves (totally fine with me, don’t feel comfortable in that style) and a reception in a large old country house (with a lot of mingling outdoors). We also spent the wedding night in our family cottage, which is in the middle of the forest and comes without water or electricity. So all these factors amounted into this dress:

glasskey:   If you need more reassurance, it is perfectly fine for you to wear the dress of your dreams on your wedding day!!

We’re having an outdoor evening wedding at a historic mansion, around 150 guests, and going for a “romantic” feel
