I just ordered a self-inking rubber stamp from BearRubberStamps and I had a great experience, so would HIGHLY recommend them!
You know, as someone who is still planning her wedding I would love to read your Etsy reviews. Etsy kinda scares me a little because it IS a market place. But there are no reviews like eBay.
And the other thing is there are so many of them it's really hard to sift through and know who really is good at what they do. So I thank you in advance for sharing your reviews!!!
Ms Gerbera :o) There is a rating/feedback system on Etsy :o) If you are looking at any item it is towards the top on the right hand side under the sellers name. It will have a number & a percentage (ie 810, 100%) You can click on it and read past buyers feedback :o)
On the other hand, 1000markets.com does not have a rating system.
Huh. Oops.. did not know that. Ok. Carry on. ![]()
I would still love to read customer reviews on WB.
Miss Gerbera, another thing to look at on Etsy is that when people leave feedback, they can leave "appreciation photos" as well where you can see the exact product the seller made - I find them helpful!
I used http://decadentdesigns.etsy.com for my bridal shower invitations and will be ordering my wedding programs from her as well. She is amazing, quick and very easy to work with!
We're having our ties done by www.toybreaker.etsy.com - FI already owns one and we love it! They're not your standard, boring old ties - but aren't waaay out there and in your face either! *And* they make kid-sized ones too!
A good friend of mine had bookmarks made-up in her wedding colours as guest favours (both she & her Mr. are big readers) from {me} www.rjcharms.etsy.com
I'm hoping to scope out some great flower hair accessories on Etsy too - the hard part will be narrowing it down to just one!
Oh, and I almost forgot - my bachelorette/bridal shower invites were made by BeyondDesign, I loved them - and she makes super cute Vegas-themed invites for bachelorettes - I wish I had had mine in Vegas so I could have those invites :)
I just got my wedding ring from an Etsy seller SingleBBeautiful.
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6258539
We're trying to have an eco-friendly wedding but found the eco rings on the market to be very pricey. Then I found SingleBBeautiful, and she uses recycled metal. My ring is made with recycled white-gold with 3 conflict-free diamonds and it was very affordable. She can custom-make stuff, so you can just contact her. She responds very quickly and very nice! I recommend her to everyone!
I have to say that I love etsy and the products are just so amazing. The only thing that I would have to add is that I ordered a garter from a seller which I never received. Not her fault it was the Post Officer but, it was scanned as delivered just not to my house. I lost out on $40 and then had to buy another one (which she ate 1/2 the cost) my new garter which I do not like as much as the first ended up costing me over $60! Ridiculous if you ask me. So I guess what my point is that you will not be offered insurance but, it is a good thing to ask them to add it on especially when it only costs $1.50. But, I do love Etsy!
ive used way to many sellers to list reviews for them all. But like any thing you buy, do your research, shop around... another good tool on etsy is the custom section (formerly called alchamy) its kind of reverse ebay in that you put a request for an item, list your peramiters, requirements, etc. and sellers bid on the chance to produce the product(s) for you. lets you get a lot of choices .
Side note: I am also an etsy seller, a few pieces of advice... communicate often. Ask questions, and dont be afraid to tell someone you aren't happy with something yet. Also be respectful of the seller.
Have fun!
I'm getting my wedding gown on etsy! I haven't started the process yet but the seller is FABULOUS so far in answering all my questions, and the prices are fantastic. CiCiBridal on etsy.
I just love etsy. One jewelry seller I have used (not for wedding, I'll be doing my own) is Le Collezione. I bought this necklace, and it is just GORGEOUS, and the packaging was gorgeous. The handwritten thank-you note was a great touch: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=12797150
Etsy is fantastic. I bought my veil, custom designed bracelet & supplies to make my own bouts for the boys. I haven't shopped in a real store for months. Plus, I love how many sellers include little thank yous with their packages. So cute!
I saw these really cute socks somewhere, another wedding blog I think and found out they were from a seller on etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6117245and bought a pair. I got them the other day and am so excited to surprise my FI with them on our wedding day.

i love etsy!
here are my exact favor tags: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21786987&ref=sr_gallery_1&&ga_search_query=circle+favor+tag&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=3&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title
and my ring bearer holder: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9596493&ref=sr_gallery_1&&ga_search_query=paloma+nest&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title
I got my garter from garterlady and LOVE IT! Simple to deal with, quick response, quality for the money. I would highly recommend.
Love EmmaGordonLondon. I got my wedding clutch and my bridesmaids a clutch for their gifts. She's on time and has very well crafted bags.
Red Ruby Rose offers amazing silk clutches. I got the one below for my wedding as my something blue. It was an easy transaction, arrived quickly from overseas and was packed up beautifully, like a gift for myself! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5429379
Also I am using origami flowers from ArguingTheMobius and found this to be an incredibly cheaper alternative to live blooms if you're into something a little different. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5536158
These are all great finds! My wedding is over, but I want some of these purses just for myself :)
I bought hand-dipped soy candles for each of my bridesmaids through Ozark Scents on Etsy and would higly recommend her. She had tons of scents, is quick to respond, fast to ship, and even included an extra tea light for me:-)
I also bought my birdcage veil from one of the very popular bridal shops on Etsy and was very disappointed in the quality for the price.
My advise with Etsy, particularly for brides who aren't in the US, is to pay really close attention to the shipping rates and policies of the different shops. There are a lot of good deals that aren't so when you factor that in and while I love the site, it is sometimes frustrating how much great stuff there is on there that I just can't justify based on the shipping costs!
Okay, I've been on an Etsy craze lately, so I have a few more sellers that I HIGHLY recommend:
DigitalProVisions: She restored some old photos of my grandma for me. Not only does she do great work, but she works so quickly AND she's such a pleasure to work with! She doesn't more than photo restoration, she's photoshop savvy so she offers several photo manipulation services and don't be shy to ask her about special requests!
RuffHouseArt: She created a custom listing for me and I could not be more pleased! I wrote about my search for a moving announcement here and I found one I loved, but not the price. She made the annoucements for me at practially half the price and in about a week. I was SO excited when the box showed up at my house and I can't wait to send them out to my family. She responds to your messages lightning fast and she's so sweet. She's also an experienced graphic designer so you can contact her to design any custom projects for you. If you check out her shop she can use plantable paper, so if you are looking for a green invitation designer here you go! She also makes wedding card boxes, thank you cards, recipe cards, gift tags, calendars, jewelry cases, and much more...check her out she has great stuff for shower hostess gifts.
BearRubberStamps: I already wrote about this seller, but I just wanted to reiterate how much I enjoyed working with her. The self-inking rubber address stamp I ordered from her turned out great and it arrived so quickly! She offers a complete line of custom stamps and if you would like can create a stamp using images of your original artwork/design, but she also has some of her own.
I plan on saving all these sellers for the future because I'm sure I'll use them again and i really suggest you check them all out.
I ordered some invite samples from "HeatherCollins85" on etsy (also www.groffsgraphics.com) and she was awesome! Her attention to detail and style is amazing and the quality for the price is fabulous..
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6158855
It's now between her and Carciofi designs for the invitation. However I'm considering going to get my own pocketfolds though..we'll see. I want to DIY just one thing!
I also have purchased the map cufflinks and gave them to T for Christmas! He LOVED these! When we get married, I'm going to have another set made..one in city where we were engaged, and another cufflink reflecting the city where we get married..her products are AWESOME!
Check her out! SherryTruitt on Etsy! Product was GREAT quality and shipped very quickly. I love her. Am going to make some wine charms too for us to reflect special places we've been and a pendant for my mom from her..
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24454227
I've purchased items for a few of my wedding DIY projects from Caramelos. If you're in the market for vintage-inspired supplies, this place is like a candy store! You'll find a charming assortment of German glass glitter, paper milinery flowers, dresden diecuts, all kinds of ribbons, and other goodies at excellent prices. Monica was very quick and helpful with the convos. Everything was packaged beautifully and arrived promptly, and even included a little bonus. (I love surprises!) I'd definitely recommend her and am sure I'll be back myself!
I bought collar stays for FI's birthday from myownlittleuniverse, and they turned out SO cute!
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vt_related_1&listing_id=22946208
I got my garters from Garterlady and they are very pretty. However, it wasn't *quite* exactly what I wanted (the bows were off) and when I mentioned it she very quickly offered to fix them and said she'd cover shipping. So, I sent them off, she has fixed them, and I'm just waiting to get them back in the mail! She's been very friendly, easy to work with, and very quick to reply.
I also ordered a birdcage veil from brendasbridalveils but I haven't seen it yet. We had it shipped to my FI's workplace since we aren't home during the day weekdays, but go figure, it came in on a Saturday :p So hopefully I get to see it tomorrow! I ordered a few other things as well, but theyre custom so still waiting :p
<span style="font-weight: bold;">For those of you doing paper crafts like DIY invitations or photo albums the seller capturedtimebooks on etsy has a great selection of papers & embellishments, plus she ALWAYS adds little extras to your order at no added cost [no matter how much you spend].
This seller is also really on top of communicating with the buyer, super accomodating & willing to make the transaction[s] go smoothly.

I find Etsy to be invaluable during my entire wedding planning process, and thought I'd share my favorite Etsy sellers that I found and used for various wedding projects. And I'd love for others to share theirs - I think it'll help other brides!
Invites/Other Paper Products - Karissa, Kiss & Tell Cards - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5078685
There are no words for how amazing Karissa is - if you want something custom, but don't have a huge budget, she will make you really anything you want - and I just knew I couldn't DIY what I wanted, so I am so grateful for her! She made my invites, my programs, my table numbers, and my menus (with attached place cards).

http://www.projectwedding.com/photo/list/kitty25kat25?photo_to_show=first&thumbs_page=15 (Yes, I know my name is on here, I am okay with that)

Card Box & Guest Book - SheaChicDesigns - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5545471
Again, I knew I couldn't DIY these, so I was so glad for someone else to custom make what I wanted - and she'll even put photo-corners in your guest book if you're doing an instant photo guest book

Escort Cards - Pen & Ink Calligraphy - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5691365 - I did starfish escort cards, and Pen & Ink did the calligraphy on them of my guest's names as well as the table names. I loved it, people kept them as favors!
http://www.projectwedding.com/photo/list/kitty25kat25?photo_to_show=first&thumbs_page=6
Garter & Unity Candles- KD Bridal Designs - http://www.kdbridaldesigns.com/ So, I found them on etsy, but they don't have an etsy shop, just a separate website. They custom made me both a garter and three unity candles for $25, what a steal!!

Jewelry - PenelliBelle - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5373761 - So I didn't get my own bridal jewelry from here, but got a necklace from here as a present, and my friend loved it - they have gorgeous stuff!
Shower Gift - Perdoozy - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5061299 - I got one of her aprons as a gift, and loved it!
