I had to google crockpot to find out what it is! Would people recommend them? Does it save time at all? Ill admit that’s my aim in life!! Not a huge fan of cooking!

@phoebephoebo:  “Crock Pot” is a brand name for a popular type of slow-cooker (kind of how Americans will often call tissues “Kleenex” or adhesive bandages “Band-Aids” because one particular brand of the product is so widespread). A slow-cooker is a really useful kitchen appliance! You just put the ingredients in before you leave the house in the morning, turn it on, and it slow-cooks your food all day long. By dinnertime you will have a delicious stew or soup or whatever dish you made. (It’s also excellent for making slow-cooked oatmeal overnight so that you have it ready for breakfast when you wake up).

@KCKnd2:  Thanks! It sounds like a great idea. I’m so getting one of those with nxt months pay check!! I just looked it up there and they sell for between €40-€80 ($54-$93). Not sure if that is good but I’m going to shop around. Soon I’ll be trying some of these recipes :-))

I had my crockpot going today!

I made Cream Cheese Chicken Chili

-can of black beans

-frozen corn

-two cans of rotel (i use one mild and one original)

-a few frozen chicken breasts

-ranch seasoning packet

-block of fat free cream cheese

Turn on low and enjoy!
