I just bought 2nd hand this Dutailer Ultramotion + ottoman for 200$. SOOOO comfortable – the reclining option is key! I’m sitting in it right now, actually!

The glider and ottomon I have is this Stork Craft Custom Tuscany Glider. They have it online at Target and Amazon. I ordered mine from amazon for 187.99 and I love it! It came in the mail super fast, was easy to put together, looks great in our nursery, and is super comfortable!!! I also didnt want to spend a lot fo money on a glider…this works perfectly and Ive found it to be just as quality as any of the 500+ ones Ive tried. They make it in a whole bunch of different wood finishes and colored cushions so you can pick whatever fits your nursery. This is the one I ordered…

Mine was also a 2nd hand purchase for $100! A friend of mine had it in her nursery, never used it and wanted to get rid of it because it was taking up space! I gladly took it off her hands for $100! It’s in perfect condition and matches the crib perfectly!!

Here is mine – purchased sight unseen. I love it! It was over your $450 price point and I bought it from Bratt Decor.  I had a fabric swatch sent to me so I could at lesat see what the color would look like before purchasing.  Gliders seem to be obscenely expensive!  I am not a fan of the wooden ones personally and they aren’t cheap either, so I wanted to get something that could potentially be repurposed in another room some day and felt it was worth the extra $ to achieve that.

@KateByDesign:  I did find this one on Craigslist. I check there & Kijiji regularly. It looks like Babies R Us is having a sale on Dutailer gliders though! So maybe a new one is in your budget!!

Also, DH snapped a pic of me ‘appreciating’ my chair the other day! lol

Commenting to follow.  I’m in the same camp… buy something expensive, but can be reused down the road.  Or buy something just for the nursery for the next few years and then sell it (or put it in the basement).

This is my giant pottery barn kids grand comfort swivel. It’s above your $450 price point but I wanted a really comfy chair to spend time in with the babe & this is it. It’s HUGE & fits me comfortably & DH fits in it as well. I think I might be ready for DH to put it in the living room because the couch is getting really hard for me to get off and on. I also like that the fabric is a slip cover so it can be changed for a future nursery & another room in the house.

@KateByDesign:  Its wicked crazy expensive for sure. My mom sat in it the other day and was like “Oh i really like this, I’d like to get one just to have at my house.” I laughed and said ‘mom you can’t spend that much on one small piece of furniture you could totally buy a couch for that price.’ I worked as a nanny for a few years and all of my families had gliders similar to this one, I spent so much time in it with the babies that i just knew i had to have one when it was my turn. Last night i asked DH to move mine out into the living room since I’m starting to have a hard time getting my butt off the couch. So i think we are going to get it moved out here until at least she arrives, it won’t match but it’ll be so comfy!

We have a second-hand (third-hand actually!) Dutailer we were gifted, and it is SO comfortable. I only wish the replacement pads weren’t so expensive and/or that the covers were removable from the stuffing so I could dye them, because it’s an ugly beige color. It doesn’t go with our nursery or our living room, so I just have it covered with sweet baby blankets to make do for now 🙂
