    Hi Moms/Moms to be!

    So I know many of us are fortunate enough to have family and or friends who are quite crafty. And likely they have or will be making unique gifts for your baby!

    Share them here!!!

    I'll start because I'm bursting at the seams on how much I l-o-v-e this and how proud I am of MIL regarding it!!!

    We got my MIL stained glass classes for her birthday last year (10months ago only!) and she really has a knack for it! This is her 3rd "tiffany style" lamp!

    So she completely designed this pattern herself and picked out all the colors etc herself.

    I love how the blue that depicts water has ripples in the glass. :) And I especially love how it's not too "baby" so the lamp can grow with our daughter.

    She also made a stained glass night lite for the nursery:

    In case you can't tell we're going with a loose stars & moon theme for our nursery. ;)

    Please share handmade items friends or family or you have made for your baby!!

    I don't have any pictures, but my best friend's mom made me bibs for my baby shower. They are made from kitchen towels so they are a little longer and the elastic from a t-shirt, kind of like this, but in pretty colors:

    They are super cheap to make and a lot more absorbant than regular bibs. Plus my kids are 3 and 5 now, and they still fit!!!

    I'm excited to see what everyone has done! I haven't tackled any DIY projects yet, but crib sheets, a diaper bag, bibs, burping clothes, etc. are on my list!

    That lamp is amazing!

    My friend's mother made us some absolutely beautiful double sided bibs. They are drool worthy, for sure (pun intended). Another family friend made us a taggy blanket and my cousin made a taggy letter "G" that she could carry around with her. My grandmother crocheted so she has a ton of blankets from her (I'm so happy about this because she passed right before Christmas). I think that's about it. Sorry for no pictures!

    @truefrommetoyou:

    Neat idea!

    @dcdt212:

    I LOVE crochet blankets for babies. My husband's paternal grandmother made one for him and his brothers and they all still have it. I plan to use his for our baby when she's older.

    I'm knitting hats for a family, one for mom, dad, and baby. They all have three colors, but each hat is a different main color. I'm not done with the first one, so I don't have pictures, but I've got to get them done.

    For Wombat, my mom knitted a blanket and I made her several tutus and a hat.

    I don't have pictures yet but I will post them later.

    I myself made my baby a minky blanket and a terry cloth changing pad.

    For my shower, my grandma crocheted a baby blanket and also made me a baby quilt! my great aunt also made me a quilt - they are beautiful!

    My friend made me three adorable owl pillows (the theme for the nursery is owls) and I love them!

    My mom will be making me some burp cloths and bibs, and I might make some too.

    My husband painted the dresser for the nursery, and is making one of those cubby storage units (the kind that target sells that holds fabric drawers) as well!

    I'm also spray-painting thrift-store frames and owl figurines that I found at thrift stores... I will take pics as soon as the nursery looks more put together!

    I've made headbands and some storage totes! I only have pictures of the first couple of headbands I've made but I'll try to take more recent ones! The most recent ones I've made are precious!

    I made this baby blanket right after I found out it's a boy. It's green minky on the back, and a cotton/knit owl print on the front. super cute :) I was so proud.

    @miss-spunkin:  The diaper pattern is, and some of the cloth.  I found the bib patterns elsewhere, and I'm trying to branch out from the collection they have at JoAnn's (I love it because it is cute, but I'm looking for a bigger variety of PUL fabric).  I love the owls on your blanky, BTW!!  It looks so cuddly and adorable!! :)

    Oh...and one more!! I'm having an arctic-themed nursery when we have a kiddo, so I made this blanket and pillow set.  )My husband is going to take my sewing machine and craft store privledges away if I don't slow down on the whole "baby product" thing.  lol) :
