Here’s my RHR …  Rose De France Amethyst.   First in natural ligt in my car  and other a flash pic.    I love the illusion of the setting and way it angles around the stone.

@JoCoJenn:  An illusion setting is where the diamond is set with metal surrounding the stone, they were very popular in the 30’s-50’s.

Here is mine! It belonged to FI’s great grandmother and was made in the 1940s. So cool!

My Grandma’s ering from the erly 1940’s. It’s a bad pic, but the center stone is a small round diamond in the illusion setting with small chip diamonds surrounded by milgrain on the shank. It’s also two toned yellow/white 18k gold and a split knife edge. So beautiful in person. Even though the diamond is tiny, it sparkles like nothing I’ve ever seen! I love that I have a little but important piece of her with me. I also have the matching band 🙂
