Never been to a Sizzlers but I put basil pesto in my meatballs and they come out moist and flavorful.
@BayStateBride: That sounds good, can I sub that with anything else since they dont sell Basil pesto where I live.
I've never been to Sizzler, but I use Alton Brown's baked meatballs recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/baked-meatballs-recipe/index.html except I usually just use ground beef, because I never have ground pork and turkey in the house, and it's usually something I spontaneously throw together.
FYI these freeze REALLY well. I make really big batches of them at a time, let them cool to room temp on cookie sheets, throw them in the freezer for 45 min-1 hr, take them out and put them in plastic freezer bags and throw them back in. When I want to make spaghetti and meatballs, I take a bag out and empty it into the pasta sauce. They usually reheat by the time the sauce is hot and dinner is ready.
I don't know what a sizzler meatball tastes like, but here's my meatball (keftedakia) recipie
1/2 Pork and 1/2 Beef mince
Stale bread soaked in milk (makes meatballs really moist)
Fresh mint, Dried Mint, Fresh parsley, Fresh dill, oregano, fresh chilli or dried (optional and up to you how much depending on how spicy yuo like)
Onion, 1/2 chopped, 1/2 blended until smooth
Salt, Pepper and Cumin
Olive oil
Egg
Just mix everything together, leave in a bowl in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Make into balls and cook however you like (I love frying gently until they have some colour and then finish cooking them in a tomato sauce and eating them with rice)
I also use an Alton Brown recipe lol. I just love his food and his videos help so much. I like to make his swedish meatballs on top of noodles:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/swedish-meatballs-recipe/index.html
They take a little work but everytime I make them, we have no leftovers cause they're so yummy.
EDIT: I just read the post more closely and realized you were looking for Sizzler meatballs (I got too excited to share mine lol). I still stand by these though :)
