toasted ravioli w/ dipping sauce

cheese stuffed pizza sticks

 

entrees

twice baked lasagna

baked ziti

chicken broccoli penne

baked chicken penne & peppers

 

drinks will include tea, lemonade, coffee & sparkling cider or sparkling grape juice on every table [we hate wine]

bar & candy/dessert buffet will open after dinner

@jenilynevette:  This buffet sounds amazing. I went to a wedding on saturday that had caesar salad, rolls, bow tie pasta, and chicken breasts. so boring!

OP do you have a caterer? Typically there are set menu’s or suggestions. Or are you trying to come up with something you can do on your own? 

I know for pass HD’s we did 3 different types, 1 peice of each per person. Some didn’t eat them, some had more than one, as far as I know it balanced out. Our venue suggested like 3x that and I told them hell no lol.

@Soontobemrs2012:  We had 4 passed, one-bite appetizers during cocktail hour, an antipasto board on the table as guests sat to much on during speeches, followed by family-style servings of salad, a vegetarian main, grilled beef/chicken, and two vegetable sides. People really enjoyed the family-style serving because it allowed everyone to choose what the wanted to eat/how much, while not having to wait in a buffet line. All tables were served at the same time. Pie for dessert!

Starter:

Cheese Plate
Assorted fruit
Green Salad with Fancy Dressing

Main:

Salmon with Lentil Ragout
Pork Loin Medallions with a Fancy Red Wine Sauce

Sides:

Fancy Rice
Fancy Potatoes

Dessert:

Wedding cake– Vanilla/vanilla or Carrot/cream cheese

We had a caterer. 

Here is our menu:

Salads and appetizers:

Eggplants stuffed with pecans and garlicEggplants stuffed with pecans and garlic

assorted smoked white and red fish w/caviar

Assorted mixed seafood, pineapple under special sauce in half of pineapple

avocado with red caviar

Seared Ahi Tuna Salad

Assorted Cold Cuts

Roast beef salad w/artichokes, peppers and blue cheese

marinated mushrooms with onion and cranberries

Assorted Marinated vegetables

Assorted Bread

 

Hot Appetizers:

Juliennes with cheese & mushrooms

Chopped Lamb in puff pastry with onion

Crab meat stuffed prawns

 

Entree:

Lamb Chops w/potato ravioli

Chilean Sea bass w/Wild Rice

 

Dessert:

Assorted Fruit & Dessert Table

Wedding cake

We did a buffet, so there was a salad buffet with:

Lettuce salad with veggies, various dressings that guests could choose
Greek pasta salad
Another type of pasta salad (not sure what it was, but it was delicious!)
Assorted veggies & dip
Assorted fruit

Our wedding was the weekend before Canadian thanksgiving so we did a thanksgiving meal:

Turkey
Salmon
Mashed potatoes
Veggies
Stuffing
Spinach & cheese filled pasta
Gravy
Buns
Stirfry for the vegetarians (they could also choose from the buffet)

Dessert:

Assorted pies (pumpkin, cherry, strawberry-rhubarb, pecan, etc)
Cheesecake
Cake pops

Late night snack:

Poutine
