My other half was looking through wedding bands last night, and I told him I would post here for help. I know tungsten will shatter, but I believe titanium and cobalt are shatterproof. He would love a band with rubies in it (and then I would get a matching band with rubies), but we didn’t see much – especially not in our price range. He also likes celtic designs and dragons.
So, if your husband has an alternative metal band, please share pics and experiences! Our other alternative for him would be a plain white gold band, but neither one of us sees him as a plain band type of guy.

Here is my husband’s black titanium ring. It’s shatter proof. It’s from Edward Mirell. I know that cobalt wont break but tungsten will. And regular color titanium will scratch but black won’t.
I LOVE ruby and I looked a long time before I picked this out for him and never saw much in the way of ruby. But I was not specifically looking for ruby or dragons. We got his at http://www.titanium-jewelry.com. Maybe they have some ruby for you and I saw celtic designs there, not sure about dragons though. This one took a little time to get in but I guess that’s what it takes when you find what you like and I was happy.
