I’m in total “hurry up and wait” mode!

We’ve already booked our venue and our caterer, and because our wedding is so far out I don’t know what else to do at this point. Our caterer said we shouldn’t even meet with them to start talking menus and stuff until 5 months before our wedding, when we have a better grasp on our guest list.

My dress and my BMs dresses have been chosen, but we’re waiting to order them until a little later this year in hopes that the prices might go down a smidge. In the meantime we’re all hitting the gym like crazy.

My FSIL has offered to purchase an engagement photography session for us, but I don’t know if she’ll make good on that promise or not. If she doesn’t by like, March, then I guess finding a photographer is the next item on our list!

@BreezyBride24:  Thank you for keeping the May 2014 board active!! ๐Ÿ™‚

We’ve booked our photographer and videographer. I’ve started collecting vintage china plates for the reception. We’re having an intimate backyard ceremony (~20 guests), so there isn’t much else to do this far out, unfortunately. Like JillyCheesesteak, I’m in “hurry up and wait” mode, ha ha!!

We booked our venue in October & then didn’t do much of anything for the next few months… went to a bridal show earlier this month & set up an appointment with a caterer for 1/26… I want to get a general idea of what that costs since it will be such a large part of our budget (they’ll do catering & bartending). I also have an officiant that has us “penciled in,” but we haven’t paid a deposit or anything just yet. I agree, it really is a hurry up & wait feeling…

FI and i got engaged April 2012, and had planned on a may 2013 wedding but that was cancelled due to financial reasons and my sister getting married one week before our planned wedding date. So now we are getting married may 2014, and this may is coming so quickly, i am so happy we post poned! I know time will fly by so im excited to get all of our major things booked.

Two days ago we decided on a venue! My aunt has a gorgeous home with an amazing view and we discussed it and she agreed to us having our wedding there! So at least now we have a place to get married ๐Ÿ™‚ the venue itself is free, but that means we will need to rent everything for the ceremony and reception.

So for a couple more months we will probably just make  decisions like colors, what type of wedding we want to have, how many people etc. and once May or june comes we will start booking things. Until then we will just cotinue to save money and get in wedding day shape! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey there may Bees…. So far we booked our Venue and Photographer , yayy. My wedding planner in hand I am currently looking for a Florist. We met with 3 so far and have scheduled 3 more to meet in the upcoming week! Flowers are a crazy business, considered you pay thousands of dollars for something that dies a day after! grrrr…. Have you met with a florist yet?? How much do you budget for your flowers??

BTW, its the Weekend , more time for planning!!! Tongue Out TGIF

Booked our venue in September. We’re getting married on the top floor of a restaurant and our reception will be there as well.

We also deposited for our photographers last week and I am so, so excited! Photography was our priority vendor, and we got great ones ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I’ll be taking a “break” from planning for a few months though

@BreezyBride24:  Sure! We have 10 Hours for 1 Video and 1 Photo plus a second photo for 6 hours, which will probably cover ceremony and taking Pics wioth BP since we have 10 People plus 5 kids. Important questions:

-Do we have to provide transportation for them from house to church to reception?

-Do we have to provide food?

-Can we get a second location for intimate Bride/groom Pics?

We do not have to provide any transportation for them, they don’t chareg for mileage!
