Great post, FDB! I will definitely remember your request!
I pray that I am healthy as soon as humanly possible. After cancer, my immunity took a serious hit and I catch every little thing that comes along. After spending a week fighting infection caused by a biopsy, I now have an upper respiratory infection that is making it difficult to breathe. My experience with these is that I normally get a sinus infection, bronchitis or an ear infection (sometimes all three) while dealing with this. Wedding is in three weeks, I work full time and go to school. I don't have time to be sick! Thanks ladies, God bless!
I will defininitely keep all you bees in my prayers. Laylabelle I sincerely hope that you start feeling better soon.
I pray that one day, just one day, my family and I will be financially stable. I'm blessed that we are all healthy but lately it's been a struggle for us. I know that money isn't everything and I'm grateful that FI and I and strong enough to stay together and keep pushing through all these struggles together. My wedding may not be big and fancy like others but what matters the most to me is that I'm marrying the man of my life. Thanks in advance. May God bless you all and keep you all.
@Mz - thank you!!
And, I hear you. You're so right, it's so important to remember that we're marrying the men of our dreeeeeams!! I have a low budget, but it's made me so much more creative, more so than I ever realized I could be and I'm really quite proud of so many aspects of the wedding. I think you'll be equally proud of yours. But I hear you on financial stability!! I need that as well!! :)
Still taking requests? I need some patience with people who are getting on my nerves, especially my boss. And... relief from anxiety. I've never had it before and it's really hard to deal. I don't want to go on medication so for now I'm just dealing with it (for 2 months now). There are alot of things that are stressful right now so I'm hoping it'll just go away.
I will definitely be praying for you ladies!!
@laylabelle - you are so strong to have overcome cancer, plan a wedding, and finish school...wow!!! I really will be praying for your health everyday until your wedding! It is only in a couple of weeks...you are probably getting SO excited!
@Mz - I understand how hard and frustrating it is to not have financial peace! I know that God understands and will be faithful to you in that area! It is so great that you are keeping a good attitude about your wedding and budget. I need to keep that in mind more often that I should be focusing on my marriage more than a one day wedding.
@KM - anxiety can really be overwhelming so I will pray for relief from that and that you will find peace with your co-workers. Just know that God is trying to teach you something through your relationships with them...sometimes it is hard to keep that in mind when they get on your nerves!!
God Bless ladies! Please let us know as prayers come up so that we can all be praying for eachother :)
What a wonderful topic!
My love is trying to find a job. He had one in his hands and didn't feel peace about it, so he let it go. So he's struggling with having to explain that to people, in addition to the pressure of finding a job. Your prayers for him in that area would be so greatly appreciated!
Awww...this post is an answer to my prayers...literally. The FI is going to play Army dude in the field for the next 3 weeks, which means limited communication with him...not to mention me worrying endlessly about all the dangerous Army stuff they do while out in the field. Any prayers for his safety would be greatly appreciated!
This is a fantastic thread.
@futuredrbraun - The timing will work out for the best (even if its hard to see that now).
@Laylabelle - Bless your heart. You have been through so much - I pray that you will be well - especially for you wedding.
@MzThrowBac2B - Finances are so stressful. I used to work in Finance and I really recommend Dave Ramsay's books. They are practical and helpful. Check them out at the library!
@KMSull - I've had anxiety issues in the past. Its really scary. Make sure you take time to take care of yourself. If things don't get better, consider going to the doctor and talking to him/her about a mild anti-anxiety medicine. I was on one for a few months (several years ago) and it really made all the difference in the world.
@thebarefootbride - I can really relate to your SO's situation. I have been laid off twice in the last year.
Bees - please add me to your prayer list. I've been laid off twice in the last year and finding a new job has been a struggle (especially emotionally). I was fortunate to have an interview with a fantastic company yesterday. I have a second interview on Thursday. If I make it past Thursday, I'm told the next step is an offer. Please pray that I will have a fantastic interview and if it is God's will, I will land the job.
Thank you so much!
that i will have patience and respect and love towards everyone at all times no matter how much they drive me crazy during this wedding process. that my job will be stable and have job security so that my fiance and i can purchase a home together. that we will find a home in our budget that meets our desires for a home.
This is an excellent post. We don't all know each other in person, but we know more about each other than we think. We're close in a completely different way. I'll pray for you guys every morning. The wedding is exciting, but there are real things in our lives that can put a damper on things and drag us spiritually down.
Laylabelle is already on my list, but I will add everyone else on there. We could all use a little more strength. My prayer request would be for peace. This time of getting everything together is very stressful on top of deadlines for my job that happen to be due right at the time of my wedding.
That I will always be thankful for all wonderful things I have been blessed with and that I will have the strength and grace to hande whatever good or bad things that may cross my path in the future.
this thread brought a tear to my eye because it is just so beautiful. I truly believe in strength from prayer. @ future - thank you for this!
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Psalm 40:1-2 NIV
I am going to be really intentional about reading through each of these everyday and lifting you ladies up in prayer....I am going to spend time right now praying for each of your requests one by one (just so you know)!! :)
Our God is all knowing and hears our prayers so I have 100% confidence and faith in asking and waiting on him and his perfect timing to answer our prayers.
Hello all - I just stumbled upon this post and I know it's a little strange, but I'd like to put one more prayer request out there if possible:
My maid of honor and closest friend for the past 25 years was taken to the hospital this morning for an emergency c-section - she's due on Friday but they found that the baby was just too small during a checkup this morning and they want to get it out now (I say "it" because she wants to be surprised about the sex!) - she called me on her way to the hospital this afternoon at 1 and I've been on pins & needles for her all day! She miscarried a few times while trying to conceive, so this is so stressful for her, I could only imagine!
So my prayer request is that both she and the baby come through this ordeal healthy and happy and safely - and soon! Fingers crossed!
My Prayer Request: That me and my family/friends remain healthy and safe as we go through our daily routines. I also pray for covering during this financial storm that the America is facing. I pray that I am guided as I write my papers for grad school.
I will definitely prayer for you ladies as well! I know that the power of prayer definitely moves.
My prayer request: That I maybe given the patience and courage to deal with not finding work in my area of study. To embrace the chance to work elsewhere and to realize how lucky I am to have gotten a job even though it's outside my intended field of work.
The best thread so far!
You are all in my prayers. I know day to day life is so hard and I'm happy that you all are taking the time out of your day to ask for this kind of help.
My prayer is simply that God walks by us all in our journey through life helping to guide us in the right direction, to make me a better friend, daughter, sibling and wife and to bless all the people (you great ladies on WB especially) that I don't know and the people that I will come to know in the future.
Amen.
Just wanted to share one of my favorite verses about prayer:
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" Luke 11:9
I know that the Lord will provide for all of us....all we have to do is ask :)
Hi Ladies! I just read through all the posts and wanted to say that I'm carrying your prayer requests in my heart.
"And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Phil. 1:6
Wow, this thread is SO powerful, my FI and I are really concerned with making Christ the center of our relationship and my prayer is just that we continue to do that. He is also an officer in the United States Army, so I pray for strength for being strong for him too. We are getting married in Feb and he is deploying in June.
I will sincerely try and keep you ladies in my prayers:)
Hi Ladies! Love this thread! God is truly the center of my and my BF's life! He and I are planning on getting engaged before the end of the year and I just want you to pray that it goes smoothly and that our marriage will be blessed and highly favored! Also, since he is a minister please pray that I will not hinder his ministry in anyway and that God will bless our finances so we may prepare adequately for this next phase in our life!
I was happy when I saw this post.. I am a believer of Jesus Christ as well and I rejoice to know that we are helping one another with our prayers. I want to request an Emergency Prayer.. Tomorrow my mother will be tested for cancer. I Have faith in God and i know that he will have everything in control. Please pray for health. Thank you all...
God Bless
Ladies, I could use a few prayers for health right now... I've got the Mother of All Colds - the past few days I've woken up in the middle of the night with so much nasty in my throat that I literally couldn't breath. Today I thought I was going to throw up it was so bad choking me :(
I'm taking Chinese cold meds, which make me suuuuuper loopy, and drinking tons of water... but it'd be swell to be better by Thanksgiving, since we've got a few days off school and have a ton of stuff planned within the expat community where I live.
I'm coming up on a week of illness and it's wearing me out :(
Lamb thank you so much !!! I took her today to her appointment and now we have to wait few weeks for the results. Its a NEGATIVE in the name of Jesus !!
i am so glad i stumbled onto this thread. i will be praying for all you ladies! my prayer request is that God gives me the strength to get through the tough times and concentrate on all the blessings i have. this past weekend our pastor had an amazing message about how to be thankful when we feel like we have nothing to be thankful for. sometimes i get caught up worrying about finding a job, paying loans and bills, and affording this wedding that i lose sight of what is amazing in my life. i needed that reminder and need your prayers to keep me headed in the right direction!
i'm reviving this thread. my best friend just found out her mom has pancreatic cancer and was given 2 to 4 weeks left to live by her dr.
i will be praying that everyones prayers above has been answered, and pls pray for my bff's mom...she needs all the blessings and prayers right now.
thanks!
Great post! I will keep our fellow bees in my prayers for sure.
I pray that God will meet our financial needs for our wedding. I pray that I will be able to stay with in my budget. I pray that I will get my dress alterations too look beautiful. I pray that God will bless my marriage and other fellow bees' marriages.
I just found out that a little girl that I became friends with on a mission trip to Nicaragua has bone cancer. Her family does not have enough money for treatment & travel to the hospital. Our team is sending some money but the resources downt there are not nearly as good as what we have in North America.
Her name is Noemi, she is 11
Please pray for her.
Wonderful thread... thank you so much for posting.
My prayer request is for our fellow bees and their families. That everyone is healed, healthy, and ready for this new time in our lives. I pray that God will guide each one of you and help you in any way that you may need. I pray that he grants each of you patience and the strength to get through anything that you may be struggling with. God is good. And he listens.

I would love to set aside time each day to pray for all of my WeddingBee friends and fellow brides to be :) I thought it would be great to be praying for each other as we are all entering into this new phase in our lives.
My prayer is that I will trust God's timing in finishing graduate school and getting married. There is a possibility that I will not be able to finish my graduate program when I intended to (before our wedding) so I need prayer that a) things will work out and we will be able to spend the first yer of our marriage together or b) if things don't work out this way and we have to be apart even longer that I will trust that this is God's intention for this time in our lives.
Can't wait to hear from you ladies!!! God Bless!
