Well…I love to cook, and I think I’m pretty good at it, but one thing I feel like I can *never* get right is a good roast. Tonight I’m making a silver tip beef roast (I think that’s a bottom round) and I was googling recipes… I came upon a site that simply said to season it as desired, stick it on a roasting rack, and let it go for a couple of hours.
Normally, I do these sorts of dinners in a crock pot with sherry wine, worcestershire sauce, beef stock, and fresh herbs. Not enough time for the crock pot tonight, so I seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and oregano, and rubbed it down with a little EVOO. I’m a little wary, to have it cooking and not sitting in any delicious liquids. So, bees, how do you make your roasts? Oven, crockpot? Sauces? Please share!
