These are great to read!

Here's mine:

Splurge: Toss up between the venue (3k just for the use, doesn't include ANYTHING...YIKES!) and the band ($4500 but I they'll be worth it, they're awesome!)

Steal: Um, nothing...Sucks but it's true, pretty much everything has been either around or over budget...I guess I could say our videographer since he's a friend and we're not paying him anything but he's just videotaping the ceremony and doing minimal editing...I guess my favors only cost about .45 cents each, that's a good deal!

There are so many splurges I had!!! Id say the biggest (if only really looking at things that werent completely necessary like the venue) would be our photobooth and chiavari chairs/upgraded linens. The photobooth was a HUGE hit (never had one at any of our friends/family weddings) and the chiavari chairs and pretty linens really made the room complete.

My steal would be our photographer - it was a business friend that Ive worked with before so we got a great discount on it! Oh and the cake - it was included in the package through an off-site bakery and we only had to pay $220 in additions that we wanted and they upgraded our cake flavors for free!
