I just bought my sharedprong wedding band and now after lots of research I have found out it will damage my e-ring after a while as the diamond will rub up against the the metal in my e-ring. I don’t want to get them soldered. My question is, is it possible to get a frame built around my shared prong ring? So if I take it to a jeweller and say add some gold around the edges as a frame to protect against damage will thatbe possible? Has anyone had any experience with this?

@Baybeejulia: I think most people that don’t want to solder their rings together usually get a ‘spacer’ band – usually pretty thin, like 1 mm to go between the ering and band so they don’t rub on each other.
ETA: I may not be picturing what you’re asking correctly, but a ‘frame’ around the ring would probably look like a bezel set band and not shared prong . . .

A thin spacer should do the trick!..both of my rings are shared prong plus my wedding band is curved so mine had to be soldered and I love it!
