Weddingbee boards

Hi Northern VA brides-

I know that the mason jar thing is a huge trend right now, and surely I can't be the only bride in the Northern VA area who is stalking craigslist to get them on the cheap.  Is anyone around here using them and already paid and would let me buy them from you for cheap?  My wedding is in October, so I have a lot of time ahead of me to collect them. 

I'm also looking for large pillar candles and shepherds hooks as well if anyone is buying those- I am looking for candles that have been lit before so I can buy them cheaper as I have a bit of a rustic theme going and don't need pristine candles.

Thanks Ladies!  I didn't even see that you had responded but by Weddingbee Magic i went to the chantilly dollar tree on Saturday and got 36 shepherd's hooks (for 36 bucks! WHAT A STEAL!)

As for the jars, I have all my local friends and family collecting them, but its not going as well as I'd like- maybe I should check around for a local recycling place and see what they can do if they'd let me pick through them or something.

thanks so much for the idea about the chantilly dollar store! I'll check it out for the shepherd's hooks- any chance you'd be interested in sharing? and/or sharing mason jars?

what are you using the hooks for? we have lanterns and I'm trying to figure out if I can hang them somewhere and how...

@Nkukuruda: oh it's okay!  not yet, I looked at Home Depot (too large/expensive) and Dollar Tree (but not in Chantilly) and have had no luck so far... have you found anything?

@MrsRuby: oh good idea! thanks for the tip! I'm going to check them out soon, I'm looking for a bunch of stuff including a veil!
