@Billsgirl:  Since my boyfriend and I were apart for his birthday last year I sent him some. He was thrilled. They were huge, ruby red, and had a really thick layer of chocolate. They’re a little expensive but worth it in my opinion. He saved one for me to try and it was the best chocolate covered strawberry I’ve ever had.

I got hom a combo box of 1/3 white chocolate covered, 1/3 milk chocolate, and 1/3 dark.

@Billsgirl:  Google promo codes for them and find out what their latest is. I used one, I believe it was just “berries” and it gave me free shipping! 😀

They were not worth it to me but I’m a strawberry addict. The strawberries were nowhere near ripe on the inside.

I’ve received them as a gift, twice.  Once, they were delivered on a day I wasn’t in the office so they were moldy when I opened them (not their fault).  The other time, they were simply amazing!

No idea what he paid for them…

There is a guy at my work whose wife absolutely DEMANDS them every Valentine’s Day, SPECIFICALLY Shari’s Berries, not Edible Arrangements or anything. He sent them on V-Day a couple of years ago and will now be in big trouble if he doesn’t send them, so I guess that counts for something? Expensive though, aren’t they?

We got them for our wedding from hubby’s bank as a “congrats”. lol. Both of us agreed they were super gross, the chocolate was poor quality and the strawberries are of questionable freshness and not organic.

There’s a promo on my station for “Eddie” that is the box for $19.99 (I think 6) and then double for an extra $10

They are fricking GOOD.

Also, you can TOTALLY make them. I make some all the time. Just put a little canola or veggie oil in the chocolate (like 2 tsp per cup of choc- it keeps it softer and smoother) and makeshift a double broiler by using a pot with boiling water and a metal bowl (for the chocolate). BOOM. Like that. Mucho cheaper.

@Billsgirl:   I received some a year or so ago for with flowers.  They weren’t that great…the chocolate crumbled off inside the package before I even opened them and the strawberries weren’t as sweet or ripe as I’d like.  I’m sure it varies from delivery to delivery though.
