@Billsgirl:  Since my boyfriend and I were apart for his birthday last year I sent him some. He was thrilled. They were huge, ruby red, and had a really thick layer of chocolate. They’re a little expensive but worth it in my opinion. He saved one for me to try and it was the best chocolate covered strawberry I’ve ever had.

I got hom a combo box of 1/3 white chocolate covered, 1/3 milk chocolate, and 1/3 dark.

@Billsgirl:  Google promo codes for them and find out what their latest is. I used one, I believe it was just “berries” and it gave me free shipping! 😀

They were not worth it to me but I’m a strawberry addict. The strawberries were nowhere near ripe on the inside.

I’ve received them as a gift, twice.  Once, they were delivered on a day I wasn’t in the office so they were moldy when I opened them (not their fault).  The other time, they were simply amazing! 

No idea what he paid for them…

There is a guy at my work whose wife absolutely DEMANDS them every Valentine’s Day, SPECIFICALLY Shari’s Berries, not Edible Arrangements or anything. He sent them on V-Day a couple of years ago and will now be in big trouble if he doesn’t send them, so I guess that counts for something? Expensive though, aren’t they?

Love them!!! They’re pretty amazing! not sure what your budget is or how much you want but godiva’s are also amazing (though expensive)

We got them for our wedding from hubby’s bank as a “congrats”. lol. Both of us agreed they were super gross, the chocolate was poor quality and the strawberries are of questionable freshness and not organic.

I get them for my FI. He loves them. I also just got a coupon if anyone wants to use it.

There’s a promo on my station for “Eddie” that is the box for $19.99 (I think 6) and then double for an extra $10

 

They are fricking GOOD.

Also, you can TOTALLY make them. I make some all the time. Just put a little canola or veggie oil in the chocolate (like 2 tsp per cup of choc- it keeps it softer and smoother) and makeshift a double broiler by using a pot with boiling water and a metal bowl (for the chocolate). BOOM. Like that. Mucho cheaper.

@Billsgirl:   I received some a year or so ago for with flowers.  They weren’t that great…the chocolate crumbled off inside the package before I even opened them and the strawberries weren’t as sweet or ripe as I’d like.  I’m sure it varies from delivery to delivery though.
