Haha, congrats! My body is always crazy after going off my BC as well. I have a pregnancy test stockpile in our bathroom for that. 😉 I have to do it often to get certain tests run (I have PCOS and Endo) and they wanted to know what my cycle was without BC. It was like hell. I always thought “Oh no, did we slip up?!” Lol.

It’s funny. I know AF will be something I’m not looking forward to when we’re TTC, especially with all my lovely fertility issues, but for right now she is welcome. Lol.

cheers!

I was expecting a ‘boo, I wish I was pregnant’ post.

Are you TTC soon?

Confused – are you happy because you’re TTC and you’re hoping that your cycle won’t be as wonky/long next month or are you happy because you’re not TTC?

@Lindsay05: Hugs! I felt so relieved when mine arrived 27 days after stopping. What’s funny was I didn’t realize that mine was shorter than I thought. Either way, I know that excited feeling of the first non-BC period! Such a relief! Right now, I’m waiting on my second one, hoping for the same regularity, then after that, it’s NTNT with some charting.

I definitely get it.  It’s a relief after you come off the pill to see that you’re body is working the way it should.  I’m 3 months off the pill right now (after 13 years), and I’m still pretty amazed that my body does all of the things that it’s supposed to.  Now… if it would just make a baby…

@Lindsay05: Totally makes sense!  Hopefully next cycle will be more regular for you!

I had almost the same thing happen on my 2nd cycle off the pill.  First one came 28 days.  Second one was 36, but I assumed it would have been 28 too so I was testing BFNs and then waiting and wondering.

PS. Next month you should chart your temperatures so you have more of an idea when AF is expected (2 weeks after your temp shifts up).

@cvbee: Now you have me scared for my second period off BC! I’m really hoping that it’ll be 27-28 days long. Guess it’s different for everyone! Eek, here’s to hoping that it’ll be same as last month!
