Yeah some bosses are total weirdos! My current boss is the worst I've ever had. She is SO lazy & crazy. I coordinate events for a non-profit and she will come in the day before and say "umm I didn't approve that spearker, or you need to change this or that." And its like, well if you would of checked your email a month ago, you would know everything and not be waiting till the last minute for me to accomidate your retarded requests.
Her laziness is sickening and she has a serious case of alzheimers, even though shes 30....and when she says any word with an "s" in it, it sounds all whispy, hehe, I'm just nitpicking now :)
Ugh, SandDollar I know what you mean. My former boss was a terror. She was insecure and INCREDIBLY passive aggressive and it made the work environment really unbearable. I was on the verge of leaving when she announced her resignation (I danced out the door that day!)
Anyway, since then she's E-mailed and called me several times wanting to hang out with me when she's in town for conferences etc. I don't know where she got the idea that we're "friends" - I can barely stand the sight of her!
@phedre: haha How odd she would call you to hang out? Well I guess because she resigned she doesn't really know how you feel about her but still
@SandDollar true... but we never hung out while she was here so why would I want to hang out with her now?? So weird! :P
Oh man, hearing about so many boss issues and knowing of my current and one of my past ones... it makes me wonder if it's even worth it to find something else. Am I going to end up with another lunatic boss?!
Also... and please don't take this the wrong way, as I'm sure there are a lot I just don't know about... but it seems that all of the bees that have boss troubles have female bosses. Again, I said it SEEMS that way, because that's what we've heard of so far. I know that I've never had the kind of problems I've had with females bosses, with any male bosses. And it makes me wonder... why do some women feel the need to treat their own so crappy?
@Layla: that is a good point! I don't get it either, but it does seem they have all been female bosses mentioned
@phedre: I totally agree! I don't understand why she would want to hang out with you if you have no history of such activities. Odd
Sanddollar - that is truly bizarre - my boss just got laid off - and there's a new boss coming in from another branch so I'm really feeling quite nervous about having a boss that's ridiculous!

So with all the inappropriate employer and bees fed up with their job threads lately I just had to share this...
As I mentioned on another thread I left my job because it was too stressful and making me sick. I wont go into too much detail and just tell you what the icing on the cake was...My boss lied to me. She kept saying she was going to get me into the environmental department at our facility and kept having me meet with people. I later learned that such department did not exist at our facility and she just did that stuff to keep me with the company (I was under a temp agency so they didn't have to pay me the same rate).
Anyway FH works at the same place (she is not his boss, but they work in the same department) and she just had him forward me a series of emails on origami. I was like WTF? Who does that. You lied to me for months then act like my friend and say "oh SandDollar would love to look at this email!". She also emailed me herself last week. What is also odd is that she would never talk to me about work/at work but talk to my FH (who was not my boss or even my supervisor) about me - how i felt about my job, if I had any issues, etc...
I just had to share how strange bosses can be...even ones that are NO LONGER your boss!!
