I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF MY SAVE THE DATE.
As I was scouring etsy for diy save the dates, I was looking for the chalkboard look as my overall wedding theme to go with our rustic outdoor barn setting. I found a perfect save the date, which I wound up ordering and loving.
And then I saw this, which is just SO us. It’s not appropriate for our entire guest list, so I wound up ordering both.
Now that I’m looking at both of them printed in my hands, I’m having second thoughts about my hilarious save the date.
Is this a) HILARIOUS AND AWESOME, or b) TACKY AND OFFENSIVE?

Hilarious and awesome! I would be so happy if I got that in the mail.

@yellow15rose: I personally love it and feel it probably shows your personality 🙂

I would have two versions…one for family and grandparents, and one for family who gets it and friends. Our RSVP cards were like that. One had a picture of a guy chugging a beer, and the other had a picture of a pretty woman.

@yellow15rose: (1) I love your save the date; and (2) I lived in Jeff City for a year! Where are you getting married??

@yellow15rose: I love it & I think anyone with a sense of humor will find it hilarious.
I’ve never heard of this being done, but…..if you’re afraid someone might get offended (sigh) could you maybe send the funny STD to your closest friends and family with a sense of humor? And everyone else gets the other ones? Just throwing it out there.

This will be great for guests who won’t be offended! I would love to receive something like this!

I love it! I think you should be good since you ordered two different kinds and can mail the other one to people who wouldn’t appreciate this one!

I think it’s funny, but I definitely would only send it to my “friends who get it” list.

@yellow15rose: i LOVE those!!! Is any of your family (or family friends) uptight though? Send them the other chalkboard one – it’s cute too.
Seriously, best save the date ever!

I literally just copy and pasted this into an email to my mom with subject line: “want”
I THINK IT’S AMAZING! I know it would go over super well with my guests, but every circle is different. If you think some of your guests will love this, and if it’s really you, then go for it. If I recieved this in the mail, it would go up on my fridge for sure.

I love love love it. Obviously send the more appropriate ones to family and older guests but for the family who would laugh and get a kick out of it as well as your friends. Send it.

Haha!! I would crack up if I was sent this.

But def. send them only to guests who will “get it.”

I could see my friends (and even some family members) finding this quite funny.
