Ha! I went on a trip to Italy a few years ago and complained to a friend, "I can't find shoes that have a heel that would work with cobblestones." To which she said, "Darling, they don't make those."
Where are you going? Espadrilles work in so many (warm) places, but ultimately I say save space and buy more shoes when you get there :)
We are going to the Bahamas! I have already packed 10-15 pairs of shoes :/ plus the ones I will wear on the plane that go with nothing but my plane ride outfit.
@JennyW1: Yup, buy more when you get there, I couldn't agree more. I <3 shoes.
Hmmm...My go-to plane shoes are little Chanel knock-offs from French Sole (beige with quilting and the black patent toecap), but last time I went to Hawaii I wore shoes that looked something like these:

(they were plain though, and they had a sliver of a heel). Pop-on, pop-off is important for the plane.
I packed a LOT of shoes for the honeymoon, but ended up wearing flip flops most of the time!
I think ill just bring flip flips for the beach. I dont really ever shoes that dont give me an extra 3-5"
I feel that way all the time! I always tell my FI that I'm constantly searching for the perfect shoes... the shoes that'll make me 5" taller, look 10 lbs slimmer, go perfectly with whatever outfit I'm wearing, and feel like my feet are being caressed gently by puffy clouds. I'm still on the hunt!
Just got back from vacation where I packed like 7 pairs of heels for a trip to Vegas, ended up buying more shoes while there, and still wore flip flops for most of the trip because we did so much walking.
Oh, and I hate being cold but I secretly love it getting colder out b/c now it's boot season again! <3 my skinny jeans/long top/boots combo, so comfy and cute :)
i have an entire floor to ceiling custom shoe rack full of over 60+ shoes and i STILL have moments where i just DONT HAVE THE RIGHT shoes for an outfit... :'(
feeds the addiction i guess, LOL

I've been packing for my wedding-moon and trying to pack "smart" pack outfits not 9573495734 shirts, pants, shoes that I might wear.
I have well over 100 pairs of shoes and it just seems like I can never find shoes to go with something.
