I have my first fitting tomorrow and I'm trying to decide between these two pairs.  My dress (PoB Vineyard "Hampton") is hallow-to-hem lace, so it cannot be shortened or lengthened.  I therefore need a 2 or 2 1/4 inch heel, which is hard to come by.  I originally wanted lemon yellow, the color of the flowers (maids in peacock blue, but that color is no where else but on them), but I only found one pair that I liked.  The other pair is ivory, which makes my mom happy and they are very, very pretty.  I wish I could have them in yellow.  Anyway, I'd like to have my mind a bit made up by tomorrow's fitting.  Also, the ivory ones are A LOT more expensive, but I'll deal with it if they are the better pair.  Both are very comfortable.

If you like the Kate Spade shoe better and they are satin, could you not have them dyed yellow?  They are both lovely so if you are 50:50 go with the yellow ones, they're already the right colour & a better price! Win win!

PS, would LOVE some comments about your choices.

J-Bride I cannot have the KS dyed because they are ivory, not white, and they don't come in white.  The only come in ivory and a beautiful, but totally useless to me purple.

They're both really cute! I don't think you could go wrong with either one. If I HAD to choose, I think I'd pick the Kate Spade pair.

@lunathea:  They both make me happy!  That's why I ordered them both.  I can only wear one pair though.  The other pair is going back.

Okay, Bees. I just had my fitting, and the seamstress loves the yellow shoes because they are so fun, but we both agree that the extra 1/4 inch means they show, even when I'm not walking.  The KS are definitely a better height and are more comfortable, but they are safe.  You cannot see them under the dress except for when I step forward and when you do, they match, so you don't notice much.  I am son conflicted.  Do I have a little more fun but then the shoes are always visisble and the dress is maybe the slightest bit too short (I mean, it's really only 1/4 inch difference) or do I play it safe with the elegant ivory shoes?

We're getting married at a fabulously gorgeous hotel on the beach, so there is a blend of fun and formal going on.  We're having a toes-in-sand ceremony, a coctail hour, and a formal sit-down dinner reception.

@brenda.m.fields:  I don't think you will want  your shoes showing when you're just standing there. It could make the dress look too short and that's never good.

Both pairs are adorable!  Whichever one you go with will be a good choice.  I personally have a slight preference for the yellow shoe.

Btw, I LOVE your venue.  You're going to have a beautiful wedding!

id still go with the yellow. they caught my eye. they are super fun but not to much- and if you are having a beachy themed wedding i think they would go best- but i do agree with others an wear what you will be most comfy in!

    Good luck

I say keep looking if you aren't completely sold. You still have time if you're wedding is in August.

@alicia1745:  My wedding is March 3.  I am completely in love with both pairs of shoes.  I don't feel like I'm settling for them.  I just love them both.  It was so much easier to choose a dress.  Right now, because of the length/height issue, I'm leaning towards the ivory.  Every time I think I've made my mind up for sure, though, I immediately come back at myself with a counter for why the yellow ones are better.

@brenda.m.fields:  Ohhh sorry! I don't know why I thought your wedding was in August. If the wedding is that close... maybe keep both of them until your wedding day and see which ones you want to wear when you're putting your dress on that day. Return the other pair afterwards.

They are both great shoes- you can't go wrong with either pair!

@alicia1745:  I have a year to return the Nina shoes, but only another 3 weks to return the Kate Spade shoes.  I have another fitting before then, so I will hopefully be able to make up my mind by then.  Thanks for the help!

#1 - I love the peep toe!  If you have yet to fall head over heels with shoes and really want yellow, try on some white shoes and have them dyed.  But I really do love the first ones!  :)
