I’m obsessed with finding the right wedding shoes. These are my third pair. I’ve returned the others. They’re cute, comfortable, and affordable.
I found these today, fourth pair, yikes! Am I the only one? They’re not as comfortable but still wearable for the wedding, super hot, and even more affordable.
This is my dress. Which shoes do you think go better, or should I try again?
Here’s a site with better pics:

The print seems kind of loud to me for such a romantic, soft dress. The bow ones are better, but again, they don’t seem to fit the style to me. A bow pump would be great with that dress, but the shape of the bow and the material seem more modern than the dress. Honestly, I would keep looking.

I really like the ones you have, but I would totally wear both! You have great taste in my favorite subject – SHOES!

It’s late and I’m bored, so I did some searching on zappos.
RSVP Bryn: color might be a little off, but they have a sort of interesting element with the twist while still being sleek enough for the dress.
Gabriella Rocha Julliette: nifty ripples echo the linear pattern of the dress, great color and price!

I agree that the top pair is just too much for your sleek, romantic dress. I think the second pair would go well, but they even look uncomfortable from here. I say you keep looking…something more along the lines of the second pair, but better material and fit. And perhaps a more demure bow and not patent but matte material (if that is patent)?
Edit: I think Amaryllis is onto something, especially with that second pair! Definitely more suited to your dress imo.

Here’s my dilema I was originally looking for this color shoe, but I’ve been looking for 6 months and haven’t found the right combination of color, style, comfort, and affordability. If you read my bio, you’ll see more shoes that I considered.
I broadened my search to this color because it’s more common. Unfortunately, I still haven’t had luck with the right combination of comfort, . I like that both colors have hints of pink and purple. Even the bow shoes are a little more purple than I’d like but pretty close. I wore them tonight to test them out because I was so excited about them, and they are not very comfortable.
My ideal shoe would be:
- either of these colors
- open toe
- about 3″ heel preferably with a small covered platform like the two shoes above (Typically, I don’t last more than an hour max before my feet start hurting in heels higher than 3″ but I’m 5′ and my FI is 5’10” so I want as high as I can take, which is about 3″)
- affordable: $100 or less (preferably less), but for the right shoe I would consider paying more
- size 5-5.5 (limited selection in my size, very frustrating!)
- Oh and I usually need a strap because pump style shoes nearly always slip of the back of my feet when I walk (even if they otherwise fit perfectly, I don’t get it, what’s wrong with my feet?) unless they have elastic or are adjustable (the bow shoes are kinda ok with this but they slip off a little and I had to keep pushing my foot back toward the heel as I walked)
Any and all suggestions are much appreciated! Thank you bees! I love this site!

@Ms. Figales: OMG I love these shoes! What are they? Esp. the second pair!

The two more recent pairs you posted are MUCH better than the OP.

Any interest in these? They are nearly $200. Badgley Mischka Xavier. I found them on Zappos Couture site. They have your size.

@Amaryllis: Ahhhh, this first pair is JUST what I was looking for to match a purple dress I bought. Thanks!

@Ms. Figales: Love the second pair of the latest ones you posted!!! Where can I buy some??They would look amazing with your dress and are at least your second choice color!

So I often have this same problem, especially with slingbacks (small heels maybe?). I’ve found that these Foot Petals help sometimes. They’re little pads you put under the balls of your feet – they cushion a little but mostly they’re supposed to push your foot further back in your shoe.

@lisalew5472: & @Pwitty:
They’re Brass Plum at Nordstrom. The first pair is called Jet. The second called Posey. I’ll have to go try them on to see if they work with my feet.

I reaaaaaaaallllllly like the print shoes, a lot. But, not sure about them with your wedding dress.
I like the softer purple like alligator shoes, or at least the color of those
