I am getting married in July 2013. My dress is a champagne color with ivory lace fit and flare. Our colors are navy and yellow. My bridesmaids are wearing blue dresses with yellow shoes. Originally I planned on wearing yellow shoes to match. I was planning on ordering these Nina Culver shoes: http://www.amazon.com/Nina-Womens-Culver-Canary-Luster/dp/B004O23Honeymoon8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351440331&sr=8-1&keywords=nina+culver+yellow. But now I’m having reservations about whether or not they yellow color will clash with my champagne dress. I could order them in a blue or navy color (My earrings are blue oval-shaped gems with diamonds surrounding them).
I’d love to have the yellow, but I dont want it to clash. Thoughts?

My bridesmaids were in red, so I wore red shoes under my dress to coordinate.
I think it’d be beautiful to find some shoes to go with the earrings you will be wearing…which sound gorgeous by the way!

Welcome to the bee!!!
I love all of the blue wedding shoes girls have been wearing lately, so if you’re worried about the champagne clashing with yellow shoes, then go for blue shoes! They will definitely pop, and it will be nice to match your shoes to your accessories too (it’s not necessary, but it’s an added bonus, right?)
I love those Ninas!! What dress are you wearing?

I think that you should go with blue! That way you will have a moticable pop from your BM’s! 🙂

I love blue shoes. I think its a fun way to do “Something blue”. My wedding colors are fall colors (reds, orange, yellow, tans) but my shoes are teal blue. I think its something fun and unexpected when usually (not always but usually) brides match their shoes to their colors or dress.

Why don’t you wear gold shoes?

louisianablue – I guess I hadn’t even thought about gold shoes! There are so many options! NurseMandie- I was thinking that it might be a fun “something blue!” Do you think it will look alright with all of my maids in yellow shoes and me in blue?

@Gemstone: +1. I love the idea of the blue shoes to match your bridesmaids dresses and your earrings. If you are really set on yellow could you add it into your boquet or something like that?

I don’t think it would clash However, I think the blue would be great to match with your earrings.

I think navy goes beautifully with champagne. Yellow wouldn’t really pop as much against the champagne, in my opinion.Plus you have that whole something blue thing going on as others have pointed out 🙂
