Looking for advice from already married bees that got to really test out their shoes! What shoes did you wear? How did your feet feel all day? Do you wish you picked different ones? Any info like that would be very helpful….pictures would be even better! I’m stuck in a shoe rut…I always wear heels, and have tall bridesmaids yet I want to last on my feet.

@MelissaS2012: I wore very high heels… 5 inches. I bought mine a half size larger than I actually wear even though the reviews said they run true to size. I did that so I could insert gel insoles for the balls of my feet and for the back of my heel. If I had bought them the correct size, they would have been too snug on my wedding day. With the inserts, they fit perfectly.
The gel insoles made a huge difference. My feet still hurt at the end of the day, but they would have hurt a lot more if I hadn’t used them.
The insoles were clear, so you couldn’t see them in the pictures. I hadn’t even thought of that before the wedding, but it was a nice perk to the clear ones.

Per my previous post, I’m not super-good at walking in heels, but wanted to wear them on my wedding day. I wore Nina Culver and I was SUPER comfortable. I changed into the Nina platform flip flops later in the evening…can’t really remember what time. These have about a 2.5 inch heel.

I wore these:
And I found them really comfortable. I had no trouble wearing them for hours and hours, dancing in them, etc.

I wear heels nearly every day, and I wore low 1.5 inchers for my wedding day. Kate Spade Newlyweds, to be exact. They were literally the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I was DYING at the end of the night. It was likely my own stupidity for not wearing them around to break them in. I thought that since I was used to high heels, breaking them in wasn’t necessary. Bad move.

LOVED my shoes. They were comfy and easy to walk around in because of the sturdy ankle strap. I had no problems wearing them all day.

For our ceremony I wore these beauties:
Then since we were outside on the lawn I changed into these for the reception:

I haven’t been married yet, but a good tip is to use something like Monistat chaffing gel on your feet if there are any places that your shoes rub.

I went against the “norm” and didnt’ wear heels. I wore Sperrys because we had a beach wedding. My shoes were so comfortable and everybody loved them.

These were comfortable enough through the ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner:
But I switched to these for dancing, and my feet thanked me for it!
