Shoes!!! I have postd about shoes before!! Where can I find shoes that are NOT stilletto heels?? I cannot walk in spike heels, and our ceremony is outside, and I will have to cross a lawn to get to my groom. Everything that I find that are wedge shoes are either A) made for grandma; or B) have 5+ inch heels.
To compound the problem, I do not know how they measure heel height. Do they measure the platform seperately than the heel height?? This has been so frustrating trying to find shoes for the ceremony.
I have found my reception shoes. They are perfect for walking, stairs, spending time on your feet….but NOT appropriate for the ceremony.
I have already checked all the usual places online. Can you ladies give me some advice on this again. HELP!!

@thumpurr: Maybe check out ballroom dancing shoes? They are tons of 2 inch adorable louis style heels in tons of colors and materials for ballroom dancers. A friend of mine who used to compete suggested it to me when I couldn’t find shoes like that for my size 10/11 feet. Just google ballroom dance shoes and you’ll find tons of sites and best of all, you can get them usually for a lot less than regular heels!

you can narrow it by price, brand, type, etc. or just type in “black/blue/white/etc wedges” and it shows you all the ones from stores around the internet!
Also, the heel height is measured as the total height of JUST the heel, since the heel is as tall as the platform plus (the platform is already covered in the heel heigh..unless you have a floating heel lol). So if a shoe says 5″ with 2″ platform, it is just 5″ 🙂
ETA: did you try searching for espadrille wedges? they’re usually a lower heel height! I know TOMS has some that are comfy + cute if your wedding is a bit more on the casual side (idk what your dress looks like)
