i’m having a hard time finding shoes that i love that are the right color and right height. my planner mentioned to me yesterday that you can actually have heels shortened by a cobbler – has anyone ever done this? does is change the look/feel of the shoe?
if i could do this, i think i know what shoes i can use. but i’m kinda scared of doing it since i’d never heard of it until yesterday!

I’ve never heard of shoe shortening…
Look at myglassslipper.com … They have really cute shoes, and you can dye most of them. Sort by heel height.

I’m sure it could be done by a small amount but I don’t see how they could take it down an inch without altering the entire shape of the shoe.

My sister did this! The cobbler told her you can generally do it up to 1 inch, depending on the arch. She had hers shortened by half an inch and said the shoes are really comfortable now.
