I kind of just want to wear the $3 Old Navy flip flops under my wedding dress, but my friends and family are horrified by the idea.
I hate shopping and I’m not a shoe person… I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed, and I need the shoes for my fitting in 2 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can get cute wedding appropriate flats for under $50? We’re getting married outside in the summer, so I want something like a sandal rater than a peep toe or slipper. I’d love pics to if anyone has them!

@EleanorRigby: Check out weddingfeet.com. What color do you prefer?

I say…. you should be comfortable & get to wear what you want to wear…
I get my flip flops from payless
They have thier “American Eagle” brand and they’re usually hanging on the wall (not in the aisles)
They’re cute…. 10 bucks… & come in White, Brown, & Black
Here’s a pic of my brown ones… I also have the black ones…
please excuse them… they’re worn out… lol

If you’re going to go the flip flops route, avoid the old navy ones….
I went to an all-girls high school, and our graduation was outside, with white caps and gowns….several of the girls gowns got DESTROYED in the back from the slight dampness of the grass kicking up wetness/dirt/mud up onto their gowns with every step they took!
I just figured a Public Service Announcement about the potential evils of old navy flip flops mixing with white garments…..

@meliss- I’m going for white- mostly white would be fine, too.
@amnystik- I like those! I’ll have to check them out.
@missmedic- thanks for the PSA! maybe I should just try to find slightly nicer flip flops. I like the Old Navy ones b/c they are comfy and cheap, but I used to wear them in the communal bathrooms in college- maybe I can do better for my wedding hehe

What about something like these:
I have a pair and I LOVE them! They are so comfy and the ankle strap keeps them from flopping water/mud up.
