Honestly, you can wear whatever color shoes you want. A lot of brides go with colored shoes and, for the most part if you have a long dress, they’re not seen. I say, if you love them go for it.

@sweetlikcake: I think they are a nice shoe :-). If you wanted, could you maybe put a colored shoe polish on them? Or maybe personalize them in some other way?

I think they are really cute shoes. If it were me, I would find a shoe clip that complimented my dress, so they would be more cohesive, but if you think they are fine the way they are, then they should work perfectly the way they are.

@sweetlikcake: Hey, any color works in this day and age. Mine are royal blue. My step FMIL almost flipped when she saw them lol. They fit me though.

@sweetlikcake: I just love black shoes too. I own like 10 pairs of them at least lol. They look nice with just about every outfit. I think the contrast (if that’s the right word) between the black and white will be beautiful. My dress is diamond white and I think having that pop of color makes the who ensemble more aesthetically pleasing lol. There was a bride on SYTTD that tried on a wedding dress with black accents. It was gorgeous!

ya i think u can do whatever you want and it will be fine.  also, i am sure you will get to wear these more often after the wedding!  plus, like everyone says, no one can really see your shoes under the dress.

@sweetlikcake: My wedding shoes are royal blue. Got em off ebay (which I am addicted to). I put little I DO letters on the bottom of them for pictures.

@sweetlikcake:  Thank you for the compliment on my shoes.  And oh my gosh I know! I got my chargers on craigslist for .50 cents a piece! Saved a bunch on those. Got my chair covers for a dollar as well. My letters were not blue, but they were definitely affordable! They can get really pricey….boogles my mind….all for a sticker.

If you really want to add some zing to it, you can always add shoe clips to it.  Especially if you want those cute shoe pictures…that would work well.  But I think the most important thing for shoes…get something comfortable!!!

Here’s an example of what a shoe clip is:
