I have a question about wearing shoes with my dress. My dress just touches the ground when I wear 2.5 inch heals. But I don’t want to wear these shoes all day. I would like to change into flip flops later during the reception. But I am a little worried that I will be tripping over my dress. Does anyone have any advice with this?

Well, this issue arises with any bride that wants to wear heels then take them off later to wear flats. Your dress should definitely be the length necessary to look appropriate for your ceremony and pictures while you are wearing your heels, so you need to keep the hem the way it is. As far as tripping, I don’t think 2.5 inches of your dress on the floor will be that bad. I wore 4 inch heels, and I took them off near the end of the night and I was fine. I mean, my dress was dragging and I was picking it up a bit at times, but I wasn’t tripping.

@Tulip61110: that is good info..i have the same issue my heels r 2.5 inches and i have ballerina slippers as a backup in case my feet will hurt too much ! thankfuly i do not have a train so my hem line all a around is the same length (well the back is around half an inches longer) …
I did wear is with and without my heels when i tried it on and like u said sometimes i has to pick up the skirt so i think we all will b fine 🙂 i actually like it when i hold my skirt up a little makes me feel princessy for some reason 🙂
