I think it is a new trend. I am not sure what I'll end up doing, but I would like to get colored shoes...its just more fun that way!
Get shoes to match your bouquet, nad you're good to go! For you, do either the turquoise or fuschia...it will pop in photos!
Fuschia heels would be AWESOME! I have seen quite a few girls wearing colored shoes now! I want maybe blue or burgundy (my colors are burgundy and gold) but they have to be flats or kitten heels so I haven't found anything close to what I want!
i'm all about the brightly colored shoes. Especially if you're doing a traditional white dress - what a great way to add some (mostly hidden) drama!
Also the colored crinolines - love love love!
I am a huge fan of brightly colored shoes! Mine are yellow!!! I think they're great, because it's a fun pop of color and you can totally wear them again, unlike most "bridal" shoes.
Personally Im not a fan of "bridal shoes" none of them are my style. Thats why I really like the trend towards colored shoes. Also, you can be more creative with footwear. I would love to buy some amazing shoes I could wear again after the wedding!
totally go with fushia shoes! it would be a super sexy surprise under your long dress :)

OHHHH swoon. You need those. If you can walk in heels, I can't.. I'm opting for flats. I really don't want ot end up in "bride" flip flops

Colored shoes let you add a contemporary feel to the wedding. I'm wearing blue shoes for my "something blue."
fuschia would be incredible!!!! I did blue shoes for mine - our colors were navy white and yellow

I love colored shoes. They are way more personal and fun that traditional bridal shoes and come in way more styles. Also you can wear them again as opposed to most bridal shoes.
I'm going with a dark teal or blue as my something blue, (still looking). None of my other colors are blue or teal but I'm a big proponent of avoiding the whole matchy matchy thing.
plus you don't have to worry about matching. my dress is ivory and my shoes are blue. easy as pie!
Our wedding colors are brown pink and ivory. I have an ivory dress but am wearing hot pink pumps, SO CUTE!! you hardly ever see your shoes anyway right?! :-) Go for color!

Go for color! How exciting when people get a glimpse of color peeking through yoru dress! I'm on the hunt (and ummm....have been for 10 months!) for the perfect pair of sapphire blue flats or short heels (2" and below). I wish I could sport super high heels, but alas, I have serious foot problems which prevent me from wearing the sexier shoes! *sigh*
If you can go high and sexy- do it! But mostly, find a shoe that feels and looks like YOU and makes you happy just to put them on. Those should be your wedding shoes!
Mine will be blue. And I don't really have any "wedding colors" - mostly just whites and blushes. So the shoes will def. stand out! Noone I've told about this in my real life has heard of the colored shoes thing either though, and they all think I'm crazy! haha
Green! But I can't decide between a suede pair, a faux snakeskin pair, and a sparkly pair. I am going to have to ask for opinions soon.

I think i'm going to wear blue shoes to match the bridesmaid dresses..i think it's sooo cute with colored shoes! Nothing wrong with white/ivory shoes either..but i prefer colored=)
@melv - yep! Thanks you! I loooooveeee them. I wore them all the way until midnight! My sister and I found them and thought they were perfect, so we both got a pair and are wearing them for eachothers weddings. all of my BMs wore silver shoes (navy dresses) except her, she wore the CLs too.
I prefer a different colour, mainly for the re-wearable factor! I'm trying to find a cute pair of sassy yellow kitten heels but failing that I'll try for a pair of blue kittens!

okay so I have absolutely no idea about what I'm getting for my shoes. I have been noticing some girls getting shoes of different colors other than white? Is this a new trend and do a lot of brides do this? All I've ever seen is white. My colors are turquoise, fuschia, and silver accents. Do you prefer white or a different color?
