I’ve read 2 schools of thought on putting lace shoes with a lace dress… got these from Zappos, but keeping them in the box cause they’re returnable for up to a year in case I find something else better…
I thought these were a nice understated lace shoe… but now I’m wondering if I should keep looking for a non-lace shoe. What do you think? What shoes did you get for your lace dress? *BTW shoes and dress are actually the same color, though it may look different in the photos.

I think you should not stop looking, but I’m not a big fan of lace shoes so that is my biased opinion lol. But I will admit that the ones you have are really nice!

I don’t think you HAVE to wear lace shoes, but I don’t thing there is any reason not to if you love them. BTW i LOVE your dress!!

I’m wearing a red non-lace shoe with my dress (not sure what the material is called?), I never really considered lace for my lace dress. However I did find some awesome red lace flats for the reception!

I have a lace dress and will go with a shoe that has some lace accents but not all over lace. I don’t think there’s a problem with it if the lace on the shoes and dress don’t clash. Something like this: lace shoes etsy.

I personally wouldn’t do it because I wouldn’t want any lace that was not the exact same lace as my dress. I wore Satin shoes with my lace dress.

Try rainbowclub.co.uk….you can tailor your shoes to your dress. I’ve done this and they came back great. I opted not to get lace shoes because I wanted a contrast with my dress.

I would go for a satin shoe or a shoe with a lace accent. It seems to me that shoes with all over lace would be a little too much.
