Im a little lost in regards to what shoes are appropriate for my ceremony. Its gonna be outdoors and I dont think all the places Ill be walking aroundd in will be paved. I assume if I wear heels that the herl would dig into the ground, right? Im not a girly person, mind you.
I wouldnt mind flats because theyre going to be very comfortable. However… They remind me of 5-yr-olds and old people. theyre not as nice as heeled shoes. No offense to anyone who likes flats or has to wear them. If I have to wear flats, can you guys recommend some that wouldnt look yukky?

I’m in the same boat – outdoor wedding in a grassy area, heels would just sink into the grass and get ruined. Have you considered wedges? They won’t sink in as much and can be pretty comfortable. I’ve been thinking of these TOMS wedges for my wedding (http://www.toms.com/wedding-collection/brides/ivory-glitter-women-s-wedges), but I’m worried they’d make me taller than my Fiance, lol.

- Wedding: November 2012 - Oak Tree Manor
I had an outdoor wedding, and there was no pavement – it was all on the grass. I wore 4″ heels for our ceremony and photos (I’m just a heels girl… I didn’t care if they got a little dirty) and changed into flats for the reception. I wore these Adrienne Vittadini flats from DSW. Have you looked at some of the flats on the DSW website? They have tons of selection.

Are you wearing a long dress? If so nobody will see your shoes during the ceremony. I’d just wear nice flats.

@JenGirl: thats true… Its just that I see brides picking up their dress for the photographer or the photographer shooting pics of the shoes by themselves and I imagined just being stuck with photos of old granny shoes lol
