My girls are all wearing eggplant bridesmaid dresses.... all different styles but long.... going to make them do gold strappy shoes.... should the shoes be the same?? i figured no since you can hardly see them since all dresses are long....

i don't think they need to be the same.  just tell them to get some gold shoes, and just to run 'em by you and it'll be great!

My bridesmaids are wearing dark brown dresses and gold shoes.  Since the dresses are long, I didn't care if they were the same or not.  Hardly anyone will see them or even pay that much attention.  I honestly could care less what color they were wearing, but all of them wanted to wear gold b/c it looks the best!

definitely don't need to be the same. I was in a long bridesmaids dress for my friend's wedding and we all wore different gold shoes. No one noticed.

Nope-especially if the dresses are long. No one will notice.

Even if the dresses were short I do not see the need for matching shoes.  Don't make your friends spend more money than they probably already have for your day.

I agree with everyone else.  With it being a long dress, no one will see their shoes.  Why not have them pick out the height and style so they can a) where them again b) be comfortable dancing all hours!!

I was recently in a wedding where we wore long dresses and all of the BM heights varied (from 5'3 to 6'0).  We all wore the same shoes (copper flats) but I would have much rather worn a heel.  I'm vertically challenged and I like adding a few inches whenever possible!! Smile
