milk and honey shoes is the only one i know of, but it’s not cheaper by any means. but, they’re based out of california, whereas shoes of prey is australian-based. i wonder if that’s why there’s a difference in cost.

@colorofmyheart:

@Jen51287:

What is the quality of the final product like on either of these? I’m concerned I’d get them and it would be like ShoeDazzle.

@badabing88:  i haven’t purchased, only dreamed. i’ve heard that both are decent quality. i think a couple bees have used the different companies. i’m sure you could do a forum search to get info!

@badabing88:  I’m thinking of getting my shoes from Shoes fo Prey – not cheep but I totally think it’s worth it to get exacty what you want. Plus, if you are worried about quality they do 365 days right of return, and as you have heaps of time before your big day you could give them a go and the only thing to lose is finding out that your perfect shoes aren’t so perfect!!

I’ve only heard good things about the quality of Shoes of Prey, and they are the least expensive custom shoe website I’ve found.  Milk and Honey shoes is mid range, and the London-based Upper Street is the spendiest site I’ve seen (although thier customer service is impeccable!).

I just ordered my Shoes of Prey last week and I’m crossing my fingers so hard that they are OK!  The return policy did make me feel better about it, and their customer service is pretty great.  It’s nice that all of the sites let you order swatches of the materials so you can see what the color really looks like….if their is one flaw it’s that the color on your computer looks nothing like the color IRL!

@Audrey2_sings:  Ohhh you have to tell us what they are like 🙂 I just ordered my samples today so I make sure I get the right colour as I was a bit concerned about that! Good to hear that I have done the right thing if the colours are so different.

@nz-bride:  Got my Shoes of Prey shoes today!  I don’t know if you are still considering them, but here are some pictures!  It was super fast from when I ordered them to when they shipped. They seem really well made, and they are pretty comfortable!  They are pretty dark though, especially compared to the computer.  Since I had the samples, I kind of knew what to expect though.  Overall, it was a really positive experience.

@badabing88:  The quality actually seems really nice.  The leather is soft inside, the fit is excellent, and the construction seems solid.  It’s no designer shoe or anything, but definitely nice!

@Audrey2_sings:  Thanks for posting those pics, they are so cute! Love the blue peaking out 🙂 am definitely going to go ahead with my order – I got samples too so hopefully it won’t be too much of a surprise.

I ended up getting my shoes from Milk and Honey. I’m thrilled, acutally this is the second go round. The first time I got my shoes they were HUGE so I had to send them back and rush order a new pair a size smaller. Their customer service was fantastic and I’m supper happy with the results. Hard to tell from the pictures but they are ivory glitter with a bow to match my dress.

Most custom shoes are expensive.  You can sometimes find good deals on My Glass Slipper or BridalShoes.com

Shoes of Prey might be expensive but their customer service is second to none and I am super thrilled with my shoes 🙂 – even though they’re too big so will need to be remade (free) the overall look and quality is exactly what I was hoping for and I have a shoe crush for the first time in my life!
