SO, I really can’t decide on my shoes. I found a pair that I do really like, yet they have a 5 inch heel. I absolutely love heels and never have any issue wearing them for hours at a time. YET, my problem is, that I am 5’7 and my Fiance is 6’2, and if I wear 5 inch heels, I REALLY do not want to look like a giant in a wedding gown (haha).
Any brides trying to figure this out too OR maybe you wore heels on your wedding day, even if it made you close in height to your groom? Photos to ease my mind would be great!
Any advice on whether it would look funny or if it’s no big deal…I’d greatly appreciate it! I just can’t make up my mind…Thanks ladies! 🙂

So I am INSANELY short, at 5′ 1/4″ (yes, that quarter inch counts) and my husband is 5’7″ so we didn’t have this problem, but all that being said, just wondering if I can help just the same!
Do you have a picture of the pair of shoes you’re thinking of? Can we help you find a pair that’s an inch shorter?

@Alyssabree: He’ll be in dress shoes too, right? That’s almost an extra inch for him and over 2 inches of difference total. You two will look just right!
Edit: I’m 5’8 and I plan on wearing heels that will leave us with about an inch of difference

A year ago I would say wear whatever makes you happy, but I realized at my wedding that the pics are soo important too, maybe more so than how you feel at the time about what you wear. It depends on what matters more to you: wearing this particular pair of shoes, or being shorter than your hubby in the pics. In person no one will care how tall you are in comparison to him, but if it will bother you then keep looking. If not, then go for it and enjoy!

I’m going to be wearing 4 & 3/4″ heels i’m 5’6 and FI is 5’8 so althought i’m taller i feel more comfortable in heels. Plus they have way better looking heels in higher heights than say kitten heels. Most of our pics will be on the beach and i will be barefoot.

FH & I will be about the same height . I’m learning [yes, -ing, it’s present still] to just deal with it. I love heels & feel 3709821x more elegant so it’s worth it to me haha.
